Okay im all prepared to get abused and laughed at so here goes.
I bought wow 3 years ago for my 9 year old. Being computer illiterate i didnt know that the PC we owned was steam driven and wouldnt run wow.
After another 12 months of of being bombarded with crisps chocolates and fizzy drinks (the usual 9 year old fodder) the old PC gave up. Enter stage right.....a new all singing all dancing PC.
1 day later WOW installed and 9year old logged baby hunter for first time.(with dad watching over shoulder to protect him from nasty people who use the interweb???)
10 days later dad is abandoned alone and addicted in Elwynn Forest whilst junior gets to grips with Lara Croft (so to speak) on PS2.
I never read the lore or consulted the manual (my computer game knowledge stretched as far as space invaders level 2) I just plodded around doing as i was told by quest givers.
Making freinds wasnt easy as by the time i found the letters H E L L O on the keyboard the targetted recipient was in another continent! I finally stumbled across two other guys who were pretty much the same as me and we quested from 20-60 together (they became great freinds and we had a lot of fun!)
One day in Ironforge we came across a group of people advertising their Guild,
they were looking for more mature people (ie OLD) We jumped at the chance, as we talked to them a very large penny started to drop, they were all talking about instances, battlegrounds, class stats and gear etc. 4 subjects we had never encountered or thought about in our old aged noobishness. The next 6 months was spent getting laughed out of instances for the gear we wore, getting savaged by IMBA hunters for breaking traps in pvp (we thought we were helping!)and being followed by lynch mobs of mana users for wearing The headmasters charge (staff from last boss in scholo) BTW i didnt ninja it ..no-one wanted it and i thought wow look at all that mana!
Anyway i discovered Allah etc started reading up and got a lot of advice from hunters on line(once i had calmed them down!!)And here i am now http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Talnivarr&n=Colandra
Here is my dilemma. I still target, shoot, send pet, mend pet etc using the mouse, I go forwards/backwards etc with the left hand on the arrow buttons!!!!!
After 200+ days of playing and taking into account my age (cant teach an old noob new tricks) and the fact im useless on a keyboard. Is my basic way of playing gonna make SSC and TK etc impossible for me? As you can imagine stuff like jump shots and typing whilst doing anything else are nigh on impossible.
Does anyone else do this?
After a bad first experience in TK (mentioned in another post)i really need to know if there is anyone using this method in high end instances,as when i talk to people they laugh when i tell them i dont use keys.
Really sorry about the long post but i feel it helps people give advice if they know some background

The places keyboard turning hurts the most is PvP.
And the easiest way to 'fix' it is binding the WASD buttons to other things so you cant use the keyboard to walk.
With that you'll need your mouse for walking and turning and are forced to use the keyboard to press buttons.

It might take a week or so to adjust but it will be worth it :P
