Rogue solo Baron for mountFollow

I have gotten sick and tired of my normal gold grinds. Ah sitting, primal farming, shard farming. So I decided between my weekly PUG kara and arena I am gonna farm Strath for AD rep (just because it's a contest among my guildies), LBS drops and if extremly lucky the Baron horse (I know drop ~ 1/1000). SO I did it myself once very unprepared with no pots or not enough bandys or food and I wiped right after Ramstein sent the million skeles after me. Then I 2 manned with a druid friend and it was a cake walk with his AOE. The gold is decent and I need the rep for bragging rights and the mount would be icing on cake of course. But I want personal rogue experiences with this run. Best spec (cmbt swords and kill all or some subt spec for increased stealth to fly past the trash?) Anyway any advice would be appreciated. Please don't waste your time trying to tell me it's worthless to do. I am grinding for rep and gold and I figure the baron run is better than scholo just for the rare drops chance. Basically something to do after my dailies and I want to do it more efficiently. Btw here is my armory in PVP spec and PVP gear with the few PVE pieces i could swap in. http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Smolderthorn&n=Vulk

Ok thanks

You've certainly got the gear for it, I would run combat swords though.

You've got an....interesting gear set going on right now. I'm confused...this is your PVP set? Or you've already got a few PVE items already substituted? You shouldn't need a crapload of +hit...isn't Strath lvl 60's? You might be better off in PvP gear.

Yeah it's like my pvp set with 4 PVE pieces subsitituted in

I put drape in place of Dory's Embrace, grips instead of S3 gloves, Midnight legguards instead of S3 legs, and edgewalkers instead of vindicators boots.

That's the only PVE pieces I have ( I wear the shoulders all the time for both PVE and PVP because I am saving AP for S4 gear and honor for S2 shoulders when S4 starts. SO I could put back on the S3 gloves and legs, Dory's embrace and Vind boots instead of what I"m wearing in link. I think the way I am gemed that would drop my hit from 144 to 83 or something like that.

I'm not sure about which gear is best, but I am going to respec to cmbt tongiht and see how it goes.

I'd put the Dorys back on, leave the grips on (for expertise), and stack AP when you can...you shouldn't need the hit rating and the hard each hit lands the better... good luck on the mount.

My rogue class officer was doing this till he xfered servers. You'll want at least 10k health. Im pretty sure he never actually fought all the skeletons and stuff that come out after ramstein.

Kill all the abomination mobs bar one (a non add- spawning one). Stand on Rammstein's steps and pull the last abo by ranged. The instant it dies, hit stealth and cheap shot Rammy the second the doors open (keeping him inside). While he's locked down by CS, move to the top step inside, and position yourself with your back to the steps. Get a 5 point KS on him to minimize his damage output, at 10% hit AR, get a 5pt SnD running, and hit evasion+ blade flurry and any on use trink you have, as the 5 elite skellies spawn the second Rammy goes down.

The positioning requirements are to make sure you don't aggro the zerg of skellies (if you're in the Baron's house far enough when they spawn, you don't have to fight them).

Wait for your cooldowns to come up, engage him from the front, use Holy Water on the first set of spawns (wait for them to get into position and you can nail them all with one Holy Water). If you get a second set (due to low dps) use blade flurry on those. I usually pot early if needed, and use evasion towards the end of the fight. If you mess up, you can vanish and reset him.

Good luck.

Don't expect the mount.

I gave up coz of the bugs in the instance, had to contact gms everyday.

There is a very nice video on warcraftmovies which I lost the link to.

For example: Agility on your boots, instead of spurs.
