Paladin Charger ProblemFollow

#1 Apr 21 2008 at 7:11 AM Rating: Decent
I know, am level 70 and should have done it a long time ago. But, now I have and have run into a problem.

I got the quest again I left off with Grimore, even soloed DM. Went and did the final part in Schol last night but it didnt give me a Charger. Gave me some money. We couldnt figure out what was wrong. Did everything Brading and Soul to horse, said I completed quest, we stood around with the horse but all was done but not put into my spell book.

Now, this may or may not have happened based on a lot of levels ago. The Pally war horse may have been deleted from my spell book I really never noticed till last night and so when finished quest, got another war horse? not sure.

I went back to SW Cathedral and my Trainer had blue question mark and gave me another Scyer or whatever you want to call it to put into the ground again. Now, the horse took my soul stone, took my barding. I can't get quest again.

Question is, if I go back and do the ending again with my totem thing. Will it accept the fact that I have already given the barding and soul stone and might give me the Charger this time?

Thanks and hope this makes sense.

Once (Darkreaver) is dead, the ghost of Darkreaver's charger will appear. The questionmark over his head will be grey, so don't worry about it. Simply loot the boss, and get the Charger's Lost Soul. Right-click it in your inventory to get Charger's Redeemed Soul. Having both the Redeemed Soul and the Blessed Arcanite Barding in your inventory allows you to click on the horse and complete the quest. Congratulations, you now have your epic mount!

Is this exactly what you did? Even if you take another divination scryer to Scholomance, I doubt it'll "remember" that you had barding and the soulstone previously.

FYI, the lvl 60 spell would be "Summon Charger" not "Summon Warhorse." It should have appeared on the Holy page of your spellbook.

The best advice I can suggest is retracing your steps as best as you remember them. If everything sounds right in retrospect, petition a GM and explain the situation. It's quite possible this is one of WoW's rare malfunctions.

I just got around to doing the quest for the charger too and this same thing happen to me. I was with someone and watched them get it :( Open a ticket and talk to a GM. They said they knew about this problem and were trying to correct it. It took a few days of having an escalated ticket but they gave it to me.

Thanks. I did everything right, was so frustrating! Will open a ticket when I get on tonight.

I think there may be a problem with some spells learned from quests this patch. We had people on the mage forums who were complaining that they weren't taught Polymorph: Pig even though they finished the quest.

Not that Polymorph: Pig is as important as a class mount.

Well, the suggestion on opening a ticket worked and the first GM did escalate it immediately when opened on Monday night.

Last night, the upper level GM contacted me and while I was on an alt, brought my Pally up, put spell in book and then logged off my toon.

I immediately went to check when he was done and Yep, I have my Charger. Looks good and is very fast with this sort of golden mist which I never noticed on other Chargers.

Am very happy this is done. Took a very long time.

Thanks!
