I've noticed some standardization in marks applied to mobs on instance runs. Without it even being discussed, the marks below seem to be what everybody on Whisperwind and The Venture Co. are using. Do the rest of you use these marks? What other marks do your groups utilize?
The first mob to be killed is typically marked with a skull.
The second mob to be killed, and which will be controlled by the tank, gets the red X.
The mob to be chain-trapped by the hunter gets a blue square. When I've grouped with other hunters, sometimes the other hunters get the orange circle or light blue crescent moon. In rare cases, I've been given the red x to trap.
The mage's sheep is usually the blue crescent moon. If there's more mages, the others get the purple diamond or orange circle.
The warlock's banish is typically the purple diamond.

Star = sap
Purple = MC/Seduce
Orange = whatever other cc we might have :P

well, blue square = blue = cold = ice traps which are blue, so that works
moon = sleep = counting sheep = sheep, so that works
Skull - kill, not really hard connection.
I've noticed that this doesn't happen in raids, but that's because there are usually targets assigned to people, and there are more then symbols that make sense so why try.

Lot of people on Aggramar refer to it as the nipple. Used to be a joke of an old GL, but now its really common ^^

Either one makes it the most acceptable marking for a seduce.
