Gearing up for heroics/karaFollow

#1 Apr 17 2008 at 5:10 PM Rating: Decent
alright, i've been 70 for awhile, and have gotten bored with running regular instances, i would want to start seeing some 1337 healing lewts.

so, the question is...am i geared enough for heroics/kara?
(my sig has my priest's armory- name is treason)

i already know about the prayerbook, and i have been working on the helmet enchant from thrallmar.

thanks in advance

Short answer: Yes! :)

Might look at your weapon enchant too, I assume you've recently replaced the mace though given its source so for all I know you had it on your last one, tis up to you, get it now or wait til you have a better mace.

Gear wise you're sorted if you've not run heroics before then start off with an easy one to ease yourself into it. The biggest difference between normal and heroic I found when I first started them was that in heroic mode you're pretty much always casting, it can be quite a change.

Plus there's the hand and wrist enchants you might consider, again depends on when or if you want to do so now, but every little will help you.

Just doing some math: With the four extra enchants including your head slot you'll be an extra 181 +healing, for a total of 1529, that's more than enough to keep you going.

the problem about the enchants is, that all (cept the helm) my gloves, wrists, mace are things i am going to replace, so it isn't worth the money to me =(

Yeah, I had that issue too, I got everything but the bracers enchant which is ironic giving what I'm about so say; The bracer enchant is cheap enough that replacing it shouldn't be an issue. The hands and weapon enchant are more expensive, more so the weapon - however alot of the cost can be mitigated by farming the mats yourself. 'Course having said that you'd probably not want to farm the mats twice.

As it stands you'll be around 1400 with the head and bracer enchants so it's probably not that much to worry about, your Mp5 is okay (though you will lose 10 when you replace the trinkets). In terms of +healing you're more than ready to start Karazhan and heroics, so get in there, get the upgrades you want and be happy. The enchants can come once you have equipment it's worth spending the hundreds of gold or hours of time farming for.
