ok, so I just hit 70 on my prot warrior, who I've had prot spec'd since lvl 10, and I have some questions about spec.

At the moment, I haven't got all that much lvl 70 gear, but I'm doing ok in terms of taking damage, but I'd like to generate more threat, since a lot of the DPS I run with are all epic'd out.here's my armory link

I've been thinking about changing my spec to lose imp. shield bash (which has been great for moving casters around when I need to) and taking imp. Rend instead.

Let me know what you think, and let me know any suggestions. I want to draw more aggro, but I don't want to lose too much of my damage mitigation.

thanks in advance for your help

12/5/44 eh? Well that's alot better than the Arms/Fury spec you linked in your original post for tanking. Just a heads up, you don't really need Imp. Rend. It doesn't do anything for you in terms of threat. (at least not the kind of TPS you're looking for)

I would look at the FAQ Sticky and check out some of the specs listed there. It gives a pretty good description of what it's used for and has a link to the build. That should help out a little.

Here's what I was thinking - about additional threat over the course of a fight

If I can put a dot on a mob, that'll be a little more tps to help counter threat from Dots and Hots.

I also was thinking about one point in Deep Wounds.

also is dot damage included in the +15% threat from defiance?
