Has anyone ever tried to put a rogue together with just crafted or AH BoEs?
There are obviously some slots that might be hard to fill, like shoulders, rings, neck, and trinkets, but others seem to be manageable.
The reason I am asking... With awesome weapons being so easily obtainable through honor, and heroic keys now being available with only "honored" reputation (which for pretty much all factions you're getting through quests alone) there seems to be little sense in even bothering with normal instances. It's all about Badges these days, and they just don't drop anywhere outside raids and heroics (if you don't count the SSO supply pouches)

It's pretty easy with quest loot and a ready supply of gold. Fel Leather set is pretty damn good until Kara, and there are quite a few quest rewards that give hit and Agi/AP to get you near where you need to be for Kara.
They'd at least get you into heroics, where you can earn badges to get everything else you'd need.

Head (or these)
Neck (no BoE but really easy to get, no instances needed)
Shoulders (pattern is BoE)
Chest (or these from a BoE pattern)
Waist
Legs
Feet (or these from a BoE pattern)
Wrist
Hands
Finger (not unique so 2x)
Back
Trinket 1
Trinket 2
Ofc I realize you can't have all the crafting professions at the same time, so you can't have both the trinkets and the shoulders.

There are plenty of good trinkets out there from quests, though.
Well, heroics would have to be the goal since all problems seem solved once you got a regular amount of badges coming in.
It's just such a pain. I've zapped enough motes for 2 pieces of Fel Leather just while waiting for a group to get into Durnholde for the shoulders, and I am now to the point where I am thinking that it would be faster and more efficient to just kill Ogres in Nagrand to have the ugly Maghar/Kurenai shoulders available at 70 until something better drops somewhere or can be bought with badges.
It's just such a pain.
