New pet skills, isn't it about time?Follow

Just a "for fun" thread, I've been thinking about some of the pet families that don't have a special ability.
I've quickly come up with some below, let me know what you think and post your own ideas:

Pet Name	Description
Bear Roar	All targets stats reduced by 3% for 30 seconds. 2 minute cooldown
Crab Grab	Both Target and Pet are rooted for 2 seconds. 5 minute cooldown.
Spider Envenom	Increases poison/sting effects against the target by 10% for 20 seconds. 2 minute cooldown.
Crocolisk Crush	The target's movement speed is reduced by 20% for 10 seconds. 5 Minute cooldown.
Sporebat Cloud	The pet emits a spore cloud, damaging all enemies within melee range.
The cloud will persist even if the pet moves away. Lasts 20 seconds. 3 Minute cooldown.
Hyena Rabies	The target becomes rabid and cannot switch targets. Lasts 5 Seconds. 1 minute cooldown
Tallstrider Peck	The target's chance to miss is increased by 5% for 5 Seconds. 10 second cooldown.
Nether RaySmother	The target cannot generate any health or mana for 30 seconds. 5 Minute cooldown.

Post yours!

Hmmm, I don't have any pet abilities, but I'd LOVE to get more stupid training points somehow. Get some elemental resist skills, higher stam, higher armor on my pet. Maybe Arcane for MGT Currator boss. Unless there's a way that I've overlooked in the past year lol.

I know, I know, when WotLK comes out we'll have 10 more levels, prolly new pet choices, etc.... I just hope they don't forget training points.

Maybe:
Gorilla - Enrage of some sort.
Croc - Tail whip

OR, just any kind of CC.
Spider - Web - Holds target in place for up to 20/30 seconds (on melee of course)

Spider- Cocoon- Traps a target in place for 20/30 seconds (can't cast or anything... like freeze trap)

Scorp- Paralizing sting - Target is paralyzed for 10-30 seconds, will be broken if taking damage.

Might get some of the lesser used pets back in the game lol

20 to 30 seconds on a pet skill CC? That is way too OP.

lol, just about all the suggestions are OP.

However, a question came up in my mind.

Would you guys rather see us hunters get a CC buff when we get to 80, or would you rather see our pets get something?

Getting more interaction out of my pet than "follow and eat them up" would be nice I think.

Not sure what you mean pet CC is OP? Meh, MGT and it's 5-7 mob pulls thru the entire instance, why not give a bit more CC abilities? Warlocks can CC 3 mobs, 4 if you count fearing. Mages can sheep, and resheep all day long (not literally of course). Seems like larger pulls are the 'in thing'. Making pally tanks #1, and Warriors /cry (I hate running SH, SL, MGT with my Warrior).

Eh, it was just a suggestion, stolen from Warlock set up =)

There's no point saying these are OP, they're obviously not balanced against todays classes and we've no idea what will happen towards 80, they might be underpowered when compared to other classes lvl 80 skills.
