Warlock PvE Raiding Guide by YoschitaFollow

#1 Apr 17 2008 at 12:51 AM Rating: Excellent
Hello Warlock addicts,

I tried to write a guide for Warlock players that will benefit them in deep PvE content and made some item comparisons. I tried to cover all parts I can but I know theres still much to add. Here I would like to share it with you. I will be glad if you share your opinions, and give me feedback.

Thanks.

Very nice, just had a quick glance at it, but from the first look it appears to be very solid.

A few things i´d like to see is a raid-demo specc.
Last time i checked the Vestments of the Sea-Witch were pretty much endgame, exceeding the Robes of the Malefic in raw DPS.

As deep affliction you are often bound to skill into malediction and on CoE/CoS duty so maybe you want to mention that in you cast-rotation.

As for tanking leotheras, there is no need to tank him as sl-specc, just make sure youre are FR-capped and have alot of stamina.

I like the fire vs. shadow part, remember to include that you buff the shadowpriests as well with ISB, who generate more mana/life which makes shadow even more viable than fire in a raiding enviroment.

Put a Curse of Weakness on RoS in phase1 as well.

Edit - Group 2 of our guild did Kara last night with 2 healers the whole way. I had never thought of sacrificing the fel hunter for the mana regen but with only 2 healers I didn't want to overburden them with my life taps.

So during trash I kept the Succubus sacced but on bosses I did the Fel Hunter - It was huge. No lifetapping needed - just pop a mana potion once or twice and non stop SB's.

I'd rate you up again if I could just for that tidbit in your guide that I had not seen anywhere else. I felt like my dps output was higher just because I never had to waste time tapping.

I definitely agree with this, I've raided as both Affliction and Felguard Demonology and if you're good at keeping your pet alive (basically limited to pulling it out at the right times in a 10-man) it exceeds the DPS of Affliction a fair bit. Even on melee-unfriendly fights where he's only in half the time or less, I still manage to top damage meters.
