So I'm a 375 Alchemist and just got exalted with SSO.
I was wondering if the Assassin's Alchmist Stone is worth the really expensive mats for it. When will I get to replace it?
PS.: I'm a kara hunter and my AP trinket currently is Core of Ar'kelos (+52 AP)

The mats for it are: 6 Primal Shadows, 2 Nether Vortices, and an Alchemist Stone. (mats for alchemist stone are 5 Primal Mights, 1 Earthstorm diamond and 1 Skyfire diamond.)

Thanks for your helps and here are the links for stone and recipe:

Unless you are running with a Shadow Priest and have no mana issues then yes, you need this. If you are not having mana issues on boss fights without a SP then you need to find out what you're lacking in your shot rotation. This trinket will give you over 1200 mana per pot (using Fel Mana). It's hot.

You have the Core of Arkelos. It is worth every copper you need to russle up to spend on it. Holy crap man, you aren't gonna get an upgrade in Kara so go for it. What is your other trinket? If you don't already have the Bloodlust Brooch and/or Hourglass of the Unraveller then its an upgrade for you. The Hourglass of the Unraveller in my opinion is the most OP blue trinket in the game. I am running BT with it still because DST and Leo Trinket have been nonexistant (thanks Blizz, jerks). I could use the Hourglass or Bloodlust and frankly, the Hourglass procs as much as the Bloodlust so I don't feel the need to drop badges on it. Meaning the Bloodlust Brooch is not that large of upgrade over a regular 5-man blue item.

If you are a broke *** hunter and want a serious upgrade without dropping cash, farm the Hourglass of the Unraveller from the second boss in Black Morass. Holy jesus man get rid of the Core of Arkelos.

the assasin's stone gives more itemvalue from just the Ap then the hourglass total.
Also, the less mana pots you have to swallow the more haste pots you can swallow.

I don't have Hourglass...I use Bladefist's Breath (26 crit rating and [use: 200ap for 15sec] 2 min cooldown)

I'll try to farm BM =D

I have the Assassin's Alchemist Stone and it's great. However, it is a tad pricey. If you don't have mana issues (always in the group with a Shadow Priest, etc.) and don't really need the 40% bonus, it's not a significant upgrade over the Hourglass, unfortunately. But if you plan to take advantage of the 40% bonus, it's fantastic.

the 40% bonus is always needed, if only to allow you to chug a few haste pots to boost your dps ;)

Hit exalted last night and ran off to the QM right away to learn the recipe for the stone. Then after nearly fainting at the prices for vortex' in the AH ($315 each), bit the bullet anyways, bought 'em and made it. Happy as a clam, which really begs a new thread topic; How happy can a clam really be anyways?

Pretty happy. They don't have pearls like those oysters do though, do they? My knowledge of this topic is limited.

I'm getting the caster version for my mage, just need the gold for the 2 vortices. 4k from one mana pot is nifty. Saving gold is dull. Spend, spend, spend, I say!
