Currently a typical BM build hunter. Recently got the Crossbow of Relentless Strikes. Thinking about spending badges on some of the other new badge loot - some of which have +haste like The Blade of Harbingers.
Would having +haste at lvl 70 for a BM hunter mess up 1:1 shot rotations in any way and if so, how much +haste is ok to have? Also, on a slightly different topic, do BM hunters use 3:2 rotations much or are there shot speeds usually too fast for that to be efficient vs. 1:1 ?

up until the point where you go below ~1.9 attack speed it wont ***** up your rotation and actually improve your dps (assuming that you dont sacrifice a lot of other stats for it)
Thanks for the reply. Any way to quickly see or calculate what your range attack speed is with all stats from gear (weapon, armor, ammo-pouch, etc.) and talent-tree taken into account?

seems like that is built into the paper doll in the standard interface.

One other question on the topic of haste - does it also speed up the cast-time of shots like aimed-shot and steady-shot ?

I believe it does. That blade is actually the idea weapon to use with that crossbow as a BM hunter. They have amazing synergy.

meh, i'm going for X-bow + LW chest.
thats already 44 haste and i guess i'll be at 1.98 speed or somethng close to that.

......... isn't it the closer you get to 1.7, the closer you get to a true 1:1? Sure 1.9 with the standard 100-200 latency but how do you come close to pulling off 3:2 when your steady shot and auto shot are nearly in sync?
It's been a while since i tried to wrap my head around the reasoning and mechanics of the 3:2 compared to 1:1 but I know for a fact that the 3:2 macro owns DPS over the 1:1 despite whatever a linear graph will tell you. Has to do with server queing or some crap like that right? With 2.1 weapon speed 3:2 is awesome. I see clipping all over hte place but is that still an illusion as it was after the 2.3 patch?
1:1 has castsequence, meaning that it will wait with firing the next shot until the server confirms that you have finished shooting.
3:2 does not have this and starts shooting your next shot the moment you are done with shooting the first.
basically, 1:1 is hurt by latency, 3:2 is not.
