Hey everyone I have a few questions

1st any thoughts/guideance/suggestions on reputation? is there certian places I should really be trying to get my rep up with for certian items? and what are those items? also is there any reputation that is a waste of time (in other words) Im a noob that may be getting rep cause I think I really want something but I dont want to find out it was a waste of time.

and which places do I have to have rep for all my heroic keys?

Off subject a little I see mention of (FSW) armor can some tell me what this is exactly? I can look up details I just want to know what FSW stands for?

Thank you

All of the outland factions have some sort of positive reputation stuff for mages. You didn't state what your professions were so many of them have benefits for alchemists, jewelcrafters, smiths, and enchanters.

That being said, I would focus on getting your scryer/aldor rep up (depending on which one you chose). The Sha'tar rep is good for the glyph of power. Thrallmar/Keepers of Time is good for a nice weapon at exalted. Cenarion has a nice +spellhit ring.

You can also check out what all the vendors sell on wowwiki and wowhead (they can be a bit easier to search that alla sometimes for certain things)

Heroic keys come from:

Hellfire Citadel (Thrallmar)
Coilfang Reservoir (Cenarion Expedition)
Auchidon (Lower City)
Caverns of Time (Keepers of Time)
Tempest Keep (Sha'tar)

FSW stands for Frozen Shadoweave, the shadow/frost epic counterpart for tailoring. Fire/arcane mages will use Spellfire.

Those are the ones I'd suggest, but I'd also add Shattered Sun Offensive to that, as the neck is supposed to be amazing(especially for Exalted Aldors). Not to mention that they have an excellent Glyph for PvP.

I heard from a couple mages on my server that the proc rate sucks, could have been wrong though.

Even if it sucks, it's probably still better than most pre-raid pieces.

I haven't raided with the shattered sun offensive neckpiece yet, but just from farming i find the aldor procs a lot. Considering its a neckpiece i'm very happy with it and looking forward to a raid. Some people overlook the exhaulted with aldor/scryer part, maybe those complaining overlooked the long text box.

A definite possibility. One of these days, I need to parse some Dr Boom with that.

The Aldhor effect procs quite often. I would say it feels almost continuous that the buff is up. To compare I would say it procs about 2-3 times more often then the spellstrike pants/helm effect. And they do stack. I only bring out my Vindicator necklace when I need the resilience now.

The effect is +120 spell damage for 10 sec if anyone was wondering. Scyer is a DD lightning bolt I believe, not sure on the average damage for it though.
