im thinking about making a druid but im keeping options open, right now i have an SL/SL lock so tring to change it up. Question, besides the fear resistence if a druid can sometimes tank better then warriors and heal and have their own badass buff what does that leave for warrior? i dont mean for this to be a harsh critizism just so i could see what warriors have to offer

I'm not being lazy, I'm merely telling the lazy OP (that would be you) to do some homework. Each tank is unique (paly, warrior, druid). There are plenty of threads here, EJ, wow.com, etc. that will let you in on that little secret. I don't really care about how many posts I've made, it's not important.

Next time don't be so lazy and sift through the threads on the pages after 1 and you might find what you're looking for. The fact that no one else has given you an answer is probably a good indication that you won't get one. At least I gave you a suggestion, albeit not very helpful, but if you can't help yourself, neither can I.

Warriors are far more versatile tanks. They have a variety of tools at their disposal that are exclusive to their class (last stand, shield wall, to name a few). That having been said, there are some encounters where feral druids are preferred. The game is designed so that the different tanks bring different things to the table and each has their place.

Warriors are the most versatile tanks and the tanks most people prefer for new content. This is because they have so many more "oh, ****" buttons such as shield wall and last stand.

Feral druids are great for farm content though where he healers understand the incoming spike damage better.

And Pallies are simply the kings of AoE content. Need to tank more than 2 mobs? Pallies FTW.

I have tanked early T5 content on both a druid and a warrior now and the difference I have found is that druids gain aggro a little quicker and take smaller hits but warriors are more consistent in the damage they take. Nice thing though about a druid is you will be able to dps on fights where fewer tanks are needed.

Either way, I prefer healing on my druid and fury on my warrior :)

Good luck and enjoy the melee side of life.
