I recently got the Malefic mask of shadows off High King, while currently using the Netherblade facemask. The set bonus isn't an issue as I have the Netherblade gloves and pants already. Which helm should I use? Here's the difference.
Netherblade helm w/ cenarion enchant (glyph of ferocity)
1643 AP
223 HIT
23.46 Crit
Malefic Mask of Shadows w/ cenarion cenchant (glyph of ferocity)
1576 AP
239 HIT
24.68 Crit
I know Hit and Crit is supposed to be the most important but I would lose nearly 70 AP w/ the netherblade helm. Is it worth it?
I keep getting all these rogues tell me I have too much hit...that it isn't necessary to have more than 200...but from what I read here it is... Any help is appreciated.

i thought 263 was the desired +hit for rogues in combat swords, since you rely a lot on your white damage during SnD.

The actual stats do not matter so much - the metagem socked does. The Netherblade mask is a clear winner. For exact numbers try to get the rogue DPS calculator - it will also give you a better view on the importance of hit, crit and AP.

To expand a little on the metagem value -
For combat swords T4 build, the gem is worth 80AP, for T6 build it is 100AP.
It's quite likely that even a blue helm with a metagem will beat the Malefic (no, I have NOT checked this).

Go with the Netherblade Facemask and put a 12 crit/3% crit damage meta gem and a 4 hit/4 agi gem in the red slot.
It's much better than the Malefic Mask of Shadows solely because of the meta slot, as others have said.
I was looking at rogue T4 gear a while back and I believe the only pieces that aren't as good as the other options for the slot available in KAra was either the pants or the chest (can't remember which now though).
Just compare Netherblade Breeches vs Skulker's Greaves and Netherblade Chest vs Chestguard of the Conniver.

I think that netherblade chest would be better if gemmed properly.
With the pants, you could put a +20 attack in one of the gem slots, and you end up basically with 10agi vs 2 gem slots. I think the skulkers are probably better.

I used one of my rogues gear in the spreadsheet(since he's still t4), he's got 4pc t4(missing head) and replacing his Malefic Mask of the Shadows with the Netherblade Facemask was a 22dps increase.
