help me and my rougeFollow

#1 Apr 13 2008 at 8:06 AM Rating: Decent
I finally got bored with my palidan and want to make a alt. Since pallys can tank and heal I want to make a dps class. Rouge was my choice since I have played a hunter and warlock before and they seem fairly easy to play. Send pet in dot dot dot(warlock) or send pet in dot shot shot(hunter). Now back to my question. What race should my rouge be(leaning towards orcs ATM) and what is the best spec for lvling? Also should i go skinner/LW or miner/ENG (for all the cool gadgets!) i have a fairly unlimited supply of money from the pally so i dont need 2 gatherer profs. Pleas help me and thanks in advance!

I read them and it said go to orc(thats why ill prolly go orc) and it doesnt really say which spec to go for lvling or Tradeskills. it kinda talks about combat being a good lvler but never really confirmed that. i was trying to get a little confirmation.

Go combat. If anyone tells you something different they're wrong and retarded (in that order).

Go swords when you get enough talents for it.

Why are you leaning towards orc? for the zerk?

Im alliance, but if i could go back to day 1 of wow i would roll an undead rogue, since Will of the Forsaken IS the most OP rogue racial there is. underwater breathing is nice in times where you want to stealth as well as swim through hordes of fish mobs. the axe specialisation of orcs is crap cause rogues cant use axes

Perception is the most overpowered racial in the game for PvP purposes.

Play as a human rogue sometime on the TTR. You absolutely rape any team with a stealth class on it.

Exactly. Can't understand why people are so concerned about being feared with both Fear and Howl of Terror being so easily interruptible and Will of the Forsaken not doing a thing against Death Coil anyway. Psychic Scream is on a rather long cooldown.

Perception however is more or less a guaranteed kill. Nothing feels better after continuously being jumped on by rogues when I'm playing my other toons than to switch to my human warrior for some sweet revenge.

Just like Theo said, you won't realize how freaking good perception is until you quite literally got to see it for yourself - preferably NOT on the receiving end.

Professions:

If I was to start over again I would pick mining/engineering or mining/jewelcrafting while leveling, load any extra ore on mules, and eventually drop mining to have both crafting professions.

Oh, don't get me wrong, WotF is still the second best racial in the game, as Fear is the most powerful CC in the game, but Perception just owns so many good comps in 2v2 and 3v3 so effing hard.

Also, for professions, ALWAYS take two gathering professions til 70. Gold > minor stuff you can craft. You can powerlevel your professions at 70.
