What loot should I be going for in Kara?Follow
Is their something I am missing or is Kara near barren in terms of Ret Paladin/Arms/Fury warriors?
There's only a few items I would go for as a retpaladin.
Royal Cloak of Arathi Kings
A 2-handed sword from Romulo & Julianne (opera Event)
Boots from Nightbane
A ring from Netherspite
A neckpiece from Chess
And a nice 2-handed axe from Prince
And of course the t4 gloves from Curator and the t4 helm from Prince are worth going for.

Youch, this place is barren. I am going to have to PvP for my loot I guess. I have a good half of those (excluding the weapons).

You know every time I see someone linking items from another website (when this site was specifically designed as an item/quest database) I always auto rate them down. USE ALLA LINKS. Back on topic, yes kara is extremely barren for ret paladins. You shouldn't be playing ret anyway though! Its a sign from Blizzard!
I was formerly ret, and have since changed to Holy, but even if you want to continue down the ret path, loot the holy paladin gear from Kara and shore em up. Because I didn't and after I made the Holy switch (which you might have to do from time to time depending on what your guild needs), I didn't have enough good healing abilities. I now have to rerun Kara and other instances a few more times to get up to snuff.
In short, Kara has awesome pally healing gear and sucky ret gear. PvP your ret set and Kara your Holy set as back-up.

Indeed. A fair bit of great Ret loot from badges nowadays.
