i'm sorry... this is kina off topic. as many of you know i was getting ready to go to iraq. however, a couple weeks ago the eye doctor getting me new glasses found a hole in my retina... after seeing 4 more doctors, i had surgery for a detached retina.... which means i can't go to iraq since its supposedly about 4-6 months recovery... so you get the "priveledge" of continuing to see me posting here this coming year. i had been looking forward to going (its good money...) but it will be nice sticking around too. sorry bodh... i'm sure you were looking forward to me being gone. looks like my ret will have a chance to get past kara after all... ;) if its any consolation as i'm walking around san diego w/ my girlfriend it looks like we got in an arguement and i lost...

I'm sorry you won't get to raid Iraq for some phat lewtz, but at least we all know you're safe at home now.

Hope the eye gets better, I have always been terrified of something happening to one of my eyes.

i went over and if it wasnt for kid i would have reupped and went back over. it's good money like he said and depending on what you do can be pretty safe. for the people who have to go on patrols you get to know each other and trust them more than you would trust your family. some peeps re enlist just so they dont have to send some noob in there with the people who have watched his back day in and day out for months or a year or two. i'm still thinking of rejoining but wife is against it alot we both served in the marines.
