Woot! I wasn't too too bummed about the ring (was a guild run), because I told him, since he's taking it, he has to run with me again through there to get it. He's agreed... but still.

Stupid.

In other news, I finally got to 61, one more level until water shield. Woo!

If only I didn't slack off.

Wrong. while we benefit more from mp5, spirit is still goo to have. Since you know, spirit = mp5?

Um.... LOL Spirit is the LAST stat a shaman will ever look for. If all stats are equal on two pieces of gear and one has spirit too, then yes, take the one with spirit. In the off-chance you are outside of the 5 second rule, you will gain more mana regen.

The issue here is Shaman is RARELY ever outside of the 5 second rule when raiding and doing 5 mans. This means you only mana regen you'd get from spirit is between fights when you'd be drinking/eating anyways and getting significantly more.

There is a reason there is virtually NO spirit on our tier gear and a reason Shaman's don't even care if their gear has spirit.

+healing, MP/5, INT, Stam, spell crit, armor... those have far more interest to me roughly in that order than spirit.

Wow i've read every post in this topic and all i have to say is WOW.Lol.I'm currently thinking of trying a shaman.Gonna read shammy forums first but all I have to say is in an instance let those who need it....get it.If that was the last time that item dropped then it would be a big problem. We have all the time the world will give us.If your currently in the instance Dpsing..then don't go for healing gear just because you might need it later.Thats a waste compared to those that can use it now or in 2 levels.About OL i'm not there yet never been there so most of you will probably call me noobish for even replying. But i've been playing wow for about a year and well i still don't have a level 70.Guess i'm still wasting time deciding the perfect class.Right now i'm big into paladins and currently have a level 29.Only thing about pally's is no ranged.I hate walking into an area with 5 mobs next to each other knowing that i'm going to die without ranged.but thats for different topics. For this topic let those who need it get it.All i'm saying. Then later bring your healing alt to the instance and get what you need.

I think Rodney King said it best, "Why can't we all get along?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

It is what it is and it is not what its not. My 2 cents is that if you are in a crap group like that you normally realize it pretty quickly. I try to avoid those groups and find those that are willing to help out and play nice so I am not annoyed by ignorance.

This reminds me of the days when I was playing my feral druid. For some crazy reason (u might say) I wanted to rise all my resistances as much as I could. I even filled every socket I had with +4 resistance to all (I know I could have much more AP by using other gems but I never raid so my 2700 AP was just fine for epic instances). So there was that beautiful cloak that drops in Botanica (first boss) that gave +12 resistance to all. Considering the fact I could enchant it for even more resistance to all I wanted it badly. So Botanica became my home. It droped. About 6 times. I got it the 6th. All other times warriors and paladins that where dazled by its descent armor bonus rolled on it. But most probably selled it to a ventor after they got a better drop a few days later. That cloak did not give any other stat appart from armor and resistances. Which I understand that is good for tanks. So practically the person that needed that cloak more than anyone was ME (I was tanking a lot too, with the difference that I was trying to 'specialise' on the resist all field - the rest where probably thinking that 'oh! ok! a little resistance is never bad'). But that's what u say after u have heard my whole boring story. I had no reason to accuse them for rolling on my precious cloak. I just kept insisting until the next time I could claim it.

baseline is... Everybody has a story. Others are so fend up of their spec they long to respec resto, others are so in need of a necklace that will replace the one they are currying since lvl 50, others are dissapointed of the luck of mail healing gear they are after so badly. However frustrated you are this is the game. Surelly you can talk to people about your needs before the instance but that does not really keeps ninjas from ninja-ing. Nevertheless there are some rules that I keep following since I started playing this game and they pretty make sence to me.

1. If the healer/tank etc rolls need on healing/tanking gear EVERYONE bucks off unless they ask

2. If the healer/tank greeds/passes u may need and noone can tell u anything about this PLUS you cannot accuse anyone for doing the same (unless it's obvious they need for DE - ex. he's a drood and rolls for plate). So if you are an Enh. Shaman and you heal you cannot accuse a s.priest for needing healing gear. He could be the healer and you the dps. You where playing in the same group and needed the same gear. The fact that one picked the role of the healer does not give him any advantage over gear for that role... Unless you are implying that only healers that protect our backs are the ones that really sweat for the team... ok the tank too... dps-ers do not contribute at all in teamplay.

3. Needing for an alt is just LOL. Go ahead, start a business. Ask your friends and relatives to pay you for gearing them up by needing every item u get from instances

then there is "master looter". No ninjas happen then.

And then there are PuG's where it's sometimes not easy to explain why you want master looter on. Some don't even know what it is and think that they don't get those drops.

Sorry i the first couple posts and got fed up with it. So if someone has already said this then good for them. Gear before level 70 is like dust in the wind, get over it. When you hit the cap and all your searching for is gear then go ahead and cry about someone stealing something u need, because where your at just about everything you get is going to be replaced fairly quickly, if you are any good at the game.

As for trying to level as a healer, have fun with that one.

My stance on leveling is get through it as fast as you can because the game really starts once you get that bull @#$% outa the way.

I find leveling to be tedious, disagree with me, i dont care.

P.S.
sorry for being rude.

Oh wanted also to say this. Some say that when they level as resto they become better healers since they know the class. While it might be true in some cases it's still not always true. In shaman point of view leveling as enha is faster and that way you reach the top little faster than resto. Now you will havce faster some lvl70 gear and maybe you have already done some healing as offspecc.

Some people might lvl as resto and still have no idea about mechanics since they dont study theyr class, just level it up. Some might lvl strictly as dps and still do theyr homework even before they get to respecc.
It's all possible while it's true that you only learn to heal by healing =)

Some will never learn and some learn easier.

My humble opinion: I think that if healing gear drops, the HEALER needs it, and no one else is spec'ed for healing, the HEALER should get the item without a doubt. I dont care if you want it because ur going resto/holy/whatever in a near future, the healer NEEDS it and you WANT it. You are greedy, then friggin' greed it.

This. Cuz karma's an unflinching *****.
