because my internet hasn't been working all that well i got from mah friend warcraft3: the frozen throne for me to play while i try to get new router or w/e and when i tried making a witchdoctor which apparently is pretty close to a shaman they had a totem that was an AOE stun effect, so im wondering why hasnt blizzard put this type of totem for shamans since we have no other form of CC
Think thats a brilliant idea. At the moment my CC technique involves ghost wolf and run. I know we have the freeze totem, but I haven't used it in so long i forget its proper name and imho, it becomes relatively useless at higher levels in comparison with other classes CC spells.
A stun totem (nothing in the overkill range) say of 3 seconds stun, firing off every 12-15 secs or so for 2 mins would probably be somewhere along the equivalent of the thorns spell the druid can fire off of the dreaded fear spells of the mana users.

A stun totem would make perfect sense if they already have something like that in the xpac for Warcraft3. Have be like a thunder totem or something of that matter.
