Something that has gotten to my mind lately is in what way ignite actually scales with damage modifiers. As for pure spelldamage, I understand how Ignite scales with that, but what about stuff like Fire Power? Or Improved Scorch?
Lets assume that my Fireball hits a target for 1000 damage. With Fire Power that would be 1100 damage and 1515 on crit. This means that my Ignite would do 606 damage.
But is this damage increased by Fire Power or not? I havent been able to figure out it does, or make a good guess based on what's likely. Even if it doesnt, would Ignite "doublescale" this way with damage modifying debuffs?
If we take the same example but with Improved Scorch instead, my Fireball would hit for 1150 and crit for 1725. The ignite would do 690 damage and in this case I am even more unsure if the damage would be increased twice, causing my ignite to do 793 damage. If this is the case, my Fireball would do a total of 251,8% of normal damage. I would really like to know if this actually is the case.

AFAIK, ignite is calculated AFTER the fireball/blastwave/<whatever caused the thing to burn> is calculated, then it is just a straight 40% of that damage.

This. Ignite doesn't get to double dip on damage talents. Though that would be nice.
