I as rogue class leader in my current guild have decided to set my rogues some min stats for entering MH/BT. i did the same thing for T4 and T5 content, and i think it's for the good of my guild to do the same agian for T6.

we didn't spend much time in T5 and i don't think everyone in the guild got as much gear as is really need for the T6 raids but we're gonna give them a go anyway. whats the worst that can happen(don't anwser that).

the stats(unbuffed) i was thinking of setting are:

9000-health
300-hitrating
25%-crit/30% if dagger spec(none are currently :P)
1600-AP

what do you think, are these about right for starting BT or should they be higher?

Why exactly are you setting completely arbitrary stat values again?

it was actually a request from 1 of my guildies, he hasn't had to much time in SSC/Tk and he wants a lvl to aim for before he signs up for the MH/BT raids, i should've said recommended stats instead of minimum.

i have been told the 9k health is a minimum to servive some boss abilities, like the needle ability of the 1st boss in BT.

Yes... but that's buffed, not unbuffed. The attack does 8.5kish damage, can be Cloaked (read: 90% chance to take no damage) and if you're having trouble surviving it anyway you could always go crazy and put on a piece of PvP gear or similar.

Err, your gear isn't close to good enough for MH/BT.

Your guild still needs to work on SSC/TK.

Cheers for that RP, not had time to read to far ahead on tactics, just been learning the windchill fight, so next on my list of reading is anetheron.

OT- is there a boss in MH/BT thats a really stumbling block? like a sudden step up in difficulty

thanks for that theo, needed someone to just say it.
i personally don't like the drop of the attunment for MH/BT, my guild is rushing in it without going through the skill/gear check of Vashj/Kael. i have voiced my concerns but people wanna see more content instead of struggling on bosses we havn't downed yet.

*just so you know, i have Talon in MH and S1 in OH, as i logged off with my fishing rod still equiped, so my stats are alot better than what is currently showing

Some of the T5 (or equiv) gear is lacking +hit, so you might find that your minimum levels for +hit are around 260 rather than 300, but conversely expecting higher AP/crit as a result.

Not quite sure what you mean by skipping content to get to BT/MH. In my guild we are 5/6 in SSC and havent bothered really with TK, but downed Rage on our 2nd try. So if you mean skipping Vashj/Kael then yeah you are probably ready - but if you cant consistently down the pre-bosses then your raid may not be ready.

I expected that you had Talon/S1/S2, but even so your gear isn't the quality that's needed for BT.

Check the other rogues in my guild--specifically Aikuchi or Valmor--for what a BT-ready rogue looks like.

Your guild is a group of morons, FYI. Tell them that they'll be even more frustrated in MH/BT.

Going to have to disagree with Theophany.

The first bosses are **** no matter what. And by first bosses I mean 4/5 and 4/9. The only three that should give you any trouble are Naj'entus, Gorefiend and Azgalor (mainly the trash). Maybe Kaz'rogal if you have really bad gear.

There is no reason to ignore the vastly superior gear they drop - most of which is free. Obviously I am not advocating abandoning T5, but if people are pushing for T6 you might as well give it a go. It should go well, but if it doesn't then at least you'll have a solid reason to stay away.

If they're having as many problems as the OP is implying with T5 content, I'm extremely dubious that they'd be able to succeed in T6.

Najentus is harder than people realize... if you're awful. But it can give guilds with mediocre healing or DPS a problem, so if you haven't killed Vashj/Kael (or at least spent a lot of time banging your heads against them) you may have a problem.

Rage->Kaz'rogal is trivial as hell though.
