So I've been using the sunfury for a little while, and I'm pretty happy with it. I even went and got myself a 24 slot quiver. At the same time I've been saving badges for the new xbow once my server unlocks the badge vendor, but tonight I find myself in possession of the wolfslayer. I can't decide whether I want to actually switch to it or not.
-I'm only 27 badges away from having enough for the xbow
-I don't have a 24 slot ammo pouch, and while I do have a spare nether, I'd have to farm the rest of the mats
-The xbow would be using arrows so even if I crafted and used the wolfslayer, I'd be switching right back to arrows once I got the 27 badges.
Is the correct weapon speed of the wolfslayer (for BM spec) really worth it in my case?

Its a pretty major upgrade over sunfury, though not worth it for a week or 2 i guess.
It also depends on latency and framerate (like on my laptop :X).
Bad latency or FR and I always got higher numbers with Sunfury anyway, and it isn't a massive increase in DPS even when I have good latency FR (though it is better).
I'd just save up for the x-bow.

If there's anything important coming up before you will be buying the xbow, like a guild progression attempt with all the best in the guild (which of course includes you!!!), then sure.. switch to Wolfslayer and try to show some bosses who's really boss. That kind of raid experience with your friends and fellow competent players is work the gold.
Note: I don't think I COULD use WSSR... the gun noise kills me and I can't really play without the wow sounds on. rogues are too scary. Then again, I'm very busy with school, work, and other RL atm, so I dont care if i'm #2-3 on the meters instead of #1 :D

Speaking of upgrades with the merchant, has anyone else plugged the 2H axe into the dps spreadsheet and seen a massive dps increase? I honestly have never had the opportunity for anything other than my blackened spear (legacy and the sonic spear have NEVER dropped when I've been around), so I'm due for an upgrade. But when I plugged that axe into the spreadsheet...we're talking as big an increase to my dps as the crossbow. I'm tempted to get the axe first and keep saving for the crossbow.
Make sure if you do get the axe first you have a bow/gun that can support it. The haste makes the axe perfect for a 2.8 weapon with BM. So if you're BM and have the WSR then get the crossbow first, otherwise it probably doesn't matter.

I decided what the heck, went and put a scope on it and got the ammo pouch crafted. With all the dailies, money is easy to come by.
