Ok im having some real difficulty with some specific match ups in 2v2s and 3v3s. Besides the fact that my partners and I are significantly out-geared in almost every match, im having a really hard time dealing with these paladin healers and most melee classes. Im MM at the moment, and generally we try to go after the pally's partner first and make the pally go OOM since if i go for the pally he/she is just gonna bubble and flash heal and we still have the other beating on my priest partner. If that doesnt work we usually fail because the pally can easily outheal my damage.

Also having a real problem vs rogues and warriors. UD rogues especially because ill try to scatter and get some distance but they pop trinket, then i try to ice trap but they pop WoTF. All the while hes stacking CP on me and i cant move for **** at this point. Warriors tend to be kite-able if i get lucky and dodge a hamstring but since im MM its really hard, not to mention i can barely crit hard enough on any of em to burn em down quickly.

I understand i have to play catch-up with most of the other players in terms of pvp gear because i severely lack resil but i need some kind of general strategy for these fights. Do i need to respec BM? Or maybe 2v2 with a priest is a bad idea? Any advice is welcome from u arena hunter vets.

in 2v2 against any healer, focus on bringing the healers mana down to 0.
use mana burn, viper sting and keep your pet on the healer for pushbacks while you kite/dps his partner as good as you can.

WoTF doesn't make them immune to Freeze trap.

Anyways, to re-iterate what Aethien said; Make sure you always have Viper Sting on the healer. Here is a macro that can help you with this. (Not sure if this will still work after patch 2.4)

#show Viper Sting
/cast [modifier:shift] Viper Sting; [target=focus, exists, nodead] Viper Sting; Viper Sting;

You can set this macro to focus on someone, and if there is no target, it will viper your current target.

Hunter/Priest teams aren't that bad. I know that there have been Hunter/ priest teams that have gotten past 2200. The hunter was specced Bm and The priest was Disc/Holy. You might want to try 2's with a resto druid aswell. Hunter/Druid works just as well, maybe even better.

If possible, link us your armory so we can see what your gear is like and what upgrades you could possibly get.

You definately will have to outlast them and burn their mana down like the above poster said. Try laying a frost trap instead of freezing in order to kite the rogue/warrior. It makes it a little easier to get some distance from them.

Also, are you 41 pts into MM for Silence Shot? Be sure to use this when it is up and hit the healer with a Viper Sting each time it is up. Pallys and Druids can dispell it but here's a tip - if you hit them with a Viper Sting and then immediately follow that with a Silencing Shot, then that will be a tick or two that will drain his mana before he can dispell it. 600 mana a tick (750ish or more with improved sting talent) will hurt and sometimes at the lower brackets, they are not quick on dispelling it.

Arena is basically a long learning process. You will eventually go against all teams and get a knack as to how to fight them. Just be patient and don't get discouraged. You will only get better the more you play, regardless of if you win or lose.

Disc priest is probably one of the better 2v2 partners for hunters, right behind resto druids. Also, by using a focus target instead of directly targeting the healer for viper stings is a good idea, as the healer has to pay attention to his debuffs as well, and if doesnt see he was targeted, he may not notice it and just might get the whole sting ticked away.

I also always prefer using frost traps over freezing traps. You freeze somebody and if it gets dispelled or trinket out, no trap for 30 seconds. Lay a frost trap and its there for hte duration, making kiting quite a bit easier, especially if you have the entrapment talent and it procs.

Check out arena junkies website. Alot of useful information, including helpful macros, strategies, and other tips.

In matches where you face a healer, you are probably gonna want to outlast their healer and burn them, while trying to kite/cc the dps as much as possible. Use viper aspect for those fights. For those fights where you are facing 2 dps classes, put up hawk, as your gonna have to try to burn one as quick as possible while still trying to cc the 2nd one.
