Just hit 70 the other day and never once used a majority combat build. Mostly assass. and subtlety. I'm looking on runnin more PVE than PVP. I want to try out this spec with glad rippers:

(CB/Fist) http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fhe0RxRoiZMIVb0VzVMbo

So, has anyone tried this out?

Thanks

I'm no expert, but in PvE Fleet Footed, Quick Recovery and Imp. Expose armor are basically worthless. I'd move most of these to Vile Poisons if you're gonna keep them in Assassination. Which I wouldn't suggest.

Any combat build without Combat Potency is problematic and slow.

Imp. Kick is important in certain fights (Aran anyone?).

Surprise Attacks really does a great job increasing your DPS.

Did I mention Combat Potency?

And Vitality can help your survivability in some fights where AOE is a factor not to mention the increase in AP.

If you do try it out in 70 instances, you should post your results here for comparison.

Happy hunting.

Imp. Kick doesn't do any more to Aran than regular Kick does.

He is, like most bosses, immune to silence effects.

Ty for info and response. You bring up another question thats been ruffling my feathers. Vile poisons.. i understand the viability of envenom against high armor targets, BUT.. evenom < evisc when you only have 2-3 poisons ticking.. I remember several times gettin pissed off being kited cuz my dam* offhand crip wont proc. Forcing me to mainhand it. And in PVE, least last i checked, npcs dont dispel poison/magic.(WotLK anyone?) Somewhere a warlock is crying now! (I kid, I kid).
And the fleet footed part, I've heard on "front line" reports that getting to a mob when separated (fear, toss, etc) = + overall dps for those rogues without shadowstep. But i agree its something that could go better elsewhere.

Oh, the imp armor is for 5 mans with druid or pally tanks. Another talent i could go either way with aswell

Thanks again^^

Good point. I mean to say that Imp. Kick is useful in some fights and the first example of Kick being useful was Aran. Who is immune to the silence effect. So, bad example. Sorry for the confusion. How about naga casters in heroic UB? Or the warlocks in MrT?

Personally imo, Imp. Kick shouldn't be needed at all. I mean, sure it'd be nice to silence the casters and all, but regular kick already disrupts their casting.

Besides, as a rogue, you should be keeping the mob stunlocked (if the tank isn't fighting that specific mob, because we all know that a tank needs to hit and be hit to generate rage). Either way, regular kick seems to be working fine so far.

As for fleetfooted, you could always just enchant your boots, if you want that extra speed. Use those points elsewhere.

and this...

Seal Fate/combat is gimp, gimp, gimp.

And bad.

Go full 20/41/0 combat.

I said "IF you're gonna keep [the points] in Assassination", assuming that you're trying to keep Seal Fate. Which I wouldn't honestly. Envenom doesn't seem to have a place in 70 instances/early raiding as far as I can tell. Maybe someone else with more experience can offer up another view.

As for Imp. Kick: For me and my regular group it's a nice luxury to have the silence effect for some trash mobs in addition to other stun-lock goodness. I'm often "off-tanking" casters in heroics and it helps here and there. But it's certainly not a must-have for everyone.

Just sayin'.

You want vile poison in pve build because the boss will have 5 stack of DP ticking on him almost non-stop. It might as well be Vile Poison DP.
