Math Pally healing questionsFollow

What would be the exact formula for calculating how much the average heal(Holy light or flash of light) be taken into account that the paladin will spec into the talents for max crit of all possible talents etc?

I have worked up a formula that i believe is right but it yields an answer lower than what I get in actual play(and by play I mean solo healing myself and recording results)

Is the int. bonus taken into account already when it shows your bonus healing for example or is that added after?

So if my bonus healing showed 1900 and I gained int. would that number change? I would check myslef but I am away from wow for a couple of weeks play wise, so I was theorycrafting, and am not getting a satisfactory answer.

Also, is there any neat pally calculators that can tell you after you plug in the numbers, how long you can last with a given ideal heal rotation before running oom assuming no mana pots or something along those lines?

Any help would be appreciated.

AVG Heal = ((Max Spell Heal + Min Spell Heal)/2 * + Bonus Healing * Spell Modifier) * (1+Spell Crit for that spell)

Spell modifiers can be found on WoWWiki and the FAQ. The Max/Min means the values on your actual heal spell where it says "Heals for blank - blank" which should account for talents that increase your base heal spell amount.

Since paladins have a talent that converts 35% of their int to dmg/healing, increasing your int will increase your heal, but considering the modifiers, it's a pretty low amount per point of int.

FoL modifier = 43%

HL modifier = 71 or 72% (depends on how Blizz rounds it)

I replied to this yesterday, but i reckon the internet ate my response.

In any event, I appreciate the answers.

My real question is when does the int bonus healing get calculated?

If my shown bonus healing is 1922, is that with or without the int bonus calculated?

Assuming it works just like the similar mage talent, it shows the int bonus already added to your healing on the paper doll.

Elitest Jerks have compiled a very useful spreadsheet which handles most of the maths behind paladin healing. You put in your stats, your healing ratio (HL to FoL) etc. and the consumables/buffs you have, then it tells you how much healing you will do.

They also have a (nearly up to date) spreadsheet for paladin gear. It's missing a few BG honor items and the 2.4 badge items but you can add these yourself. Then see what you should be getting.

Great thread, well worth a look-see.

Don't assume. You are correct.
