Opportunist's Set - Basic, Casual, or Crap?Follow

As a PvE oriented player I don't PvP much. But there are times when the change of pace and challenge lure me away from grinding dailies or leveling alts. And hell, ganking clothies in AV is fun!

Right now I'd like to be able to do some casual BG and I don't plan on repecing every time (currently combat fists). Arenas are not really an option right now.

So I was hoping that the well-seasoned PvP players here could help out with two questions:

I'm considering grabbing the Opportunist's Battlegear set. It's not that expensive and it looks like, at a very basic level (I'm mediocre at best at PvP), the set would help in a BG setting. At least it would be generally better than my PvE stuff which lacks stam and resil. Is this complete folly?

Secondly: I see that most hardcore PvP players gem for AP mostly (after the 80 hit cap I'd guess). But for the lack of high-end stats on the Opportunist's set, would Wicked gems be wiser (+ crit rating & + AP)? Is there another option?

judging by your armory i would rather PvP in your current gear. Its meant more for fresh 70s with greens.

If you don't have glad gloves get Opportunist's.

Interupt on DT is highly useful.
