Health:
Crit:
Ap:
Dodge:
Defence: do i really have to have 490 def or what ever, Because of the talant which reduces crits aginst me? And resiliance... is it ok to use as a crit reducer to tank with? cause besides the clefthoof set there aint many pieces with def for a druid

+ how does a druid heal through prince? and is tree of life worth it?
Do I use Tree for hots at the beggining then pop to caster, for phase 2, for healing touch?

ty all in advance

I'm confused? Your Tanking Kara?

Or healing one...

Resto Druids get Tree from, Feral Druids Tank.

For Tanking; unbuffed.

Health: 13-14k
AC: 22-24k
Dodge: 25-26%
Defense: Yes you *REALLY* do need to be UNCRITABLE to tank. That means you must have 415 (With 3 points in the "Survival of the Fittest" Talent) Defense. Over all you will want Defense over Resilience, because overall Defense will give you way more bang for your buck. It is okay to use a little Resilience if your close but not quite uncritable.

Now to make you life easier the Handy CRIT MACRO!!!

To determine whether you have reached the crit cap through Defense and Resilience macro:(Just copy it here and paste it in game by opening your text box and hitting Ctrl + V)

/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(2.6-(GetCombatRatingBonus(CR_DEFENSE_SKILL)*.04+GetCombatRatingBonus(CR_CRIT_TAKEN_MELEE)),1,0.5,0)

If the number is 0 or negative, you are uncritable. If the number is above 0, you require more defense or resilience vs lvl 73 bosses.

As for gearing up for Kara, this is a excellent resource!

Warriors and Paladins need 490 Defense for uncrittable (and even more for uncrushable). Feral druids need 415 Defense with 3/3 Survival of the Fittest. Gryphon linked Emmerald's guide to gearing up for tanking Kara; if there's a better guide out there, I haven't seen it.

Crit and AP are only important for generating threat, and there's so much Str, Agi, and Feral AP on our gear that druids should never have a problem generating threat (assuming you have the same level gear as your DPS classes).

As for healing, I've always used ToL. Unless you're trying to 2-heal through Prince (do-able, but a major PITA in Kara-level gear), you can stay in ToL form in phase 2. Your other 2 healers will be casting big heals to cover most of the spike damage, your Lifebloom, Regrowth, and Rejuv ticks can cover a lot of the time inbetween. As long as Rejuv is on the tank, you also have an insta-cast big heal in Swiftmend, every 15 sec, and you can macro Nature's Swiftness + HT for another big emergency heal.

The biggest advantage to ToL form is the 20% reduced cost of all your heals. You want to stay in ToL form as much as possible, and if you have to shift out, try and shift back as soon as possible.
