Still waiting for my Parrot :(Follow

Omg. I'm on a high population server, and we're still 20% away from capturing the armory on Quel'Danas!

Has anyone been fortunate enough to get their flowery Crossbow, yet?

and quick question... What is the ideal attack speed for a SV/MM 1:1.5 shot rotation? I haven't been able to find any straight answers... However, I did find this, that suggests that a 2.8 speed should be fine, and I've even seen Aethien say that he uses WSSR. The Parrot should still be really good for SV as long as I don't stack up on too much haste gear, right?

You have another phase to do after the armory is captured before the lady will sell you the badge loot. She needs to make her anvil or something. You get a horrible daily from her that involves killing massive numbers of Nagas for keys to unlock three chests on the Greengill Coast. Trust me, it takes forever.

Here's a website that has been previously posted. It shows the current progression of each server, if you needed to know.

Wow... That website shows exactly what I predicted: The PvP servers are WAY behind the Carebear servers. It makes complete sense... I know a lot of people who are just plain scared to go to Quel'Danas unless they have questing-buddies.

Yea coming from a PVP server, I can tell you it's complete chaos on that island. Both sides, Horde and Alliance, have what we like to call "Ganking Groups" where they'll just take a handful of people and wipe out the other side. Of course I've been a part of it too =) We all still get our dailies done, but there's nothing better then just grinding some honor and taking out hundreds of alliance left and right.

Gnomes by far have the best death animation, especially when they're trying to run away and I shoot them in the back ;)

*edit*
Just took a look at the website, my server is actually the 2nd highest pvp server out there, probably due to it's population, but still, we're #28 on the ranks, woot!

2.9 - 3.0 depending on latency.

I'm on a normal server but the Alliance are trying to PvP the "fun" way. They stand flagged on a quest NPC in hopes that you'll click them instead, so the SSO guards will jump you.

These kind of shenanigans are why my PvE server is still ranked 39th in the SSO progress list. WTG Silvermoon! Are we the only server where half the population has 4+ 70s but doesn't know how to play any of them?

We have tauren standing on the quest givers pretty much 24/7. Of course you can turn on nameplates, but they are always jumping and dancing to the nameplates move around and even this is safe. It's caused a lot of people to not do dailies which explains the horrible progress we're making.

combine this with the fact that it's a pvp server and the ganking groups are active, and it means that badge gear is still a ways away.

Anyone know the schedule for the gates? What a dumb idea that was, completely ruining the pve race.

omg. I knew it. I've been running Kara for MONTHS, but I never saw ANY of the ranged weapons. I finally saw Sunfury today- but my server will have the anvil made by the end of the weekend. We captured the Armory yesterday, and we're already 40% done with the anvil.

It's so strange. It had been a while since I saw any gear for myself, but today I ran Kara just to test out my new SV build, and I got the Beastmaw shoulders (finally... even though they ***** up my meta gem), the saberclaw talisman from Shade, which is nice since I don't need as much +hit anymore, AND I got Sunfury. I guess I tricked the WoW gods into thinking that since I had a new spec, I actually needed the new gear.

if you are specced survival i'd do the maths to check the badge xbow is actually better dps. I've not run either through my speadsheet, but i think it will be quite close. badges might be better spent elsewhere.

It's not as HUGE of a jump as BM hunters get, but it's still a pretty significant increase in DPS for SV hunters... plus, I'm just playing around with SV for now. I specc'ed into it because I had the mats to throw +35 agility on my Legacy, and I got an extra T4 badge to turn in for the PvP shoulders- which I'm keeping anyway, because they ROCK over the T4 shoulders.

I put it through Cheeky's spread sheet, and it showed me a 32 DPS increase from Sunfury- and that's with a 1.1:5 shot rotation (Arcane, no Multi)

you picked up your xbow yet then? we're nearly there now on our server, but i didn't do a very good job of saving badges, so have a long wait before i can get my parrot.

i've been playing about with pvp a bit lately as my raid group has now fallen apart and it occured to me that the 4 piece set bonus on the first pvp set works so well with the new xbow as you can still base you cast sequence around the multishot cd and there is an extra 5% damage off multishot too.

could someone link cheeky's spreadsheet, no point in me wasting my time if someones already got one that's been tested.

I just did this 'daily' last night for the first time. Had to kill quite a few Male Naga's to get those ore pieces!

In any event, my friend who led me through the dailies warned me about the 'stand on top' of the quest givers issue. He suggested I left click on the quest giver first to make sure I've selected the right person and then speak to them. It seemed to work, even with the idiots standing on top of the quest giver.

It's nice to see that my server isn't too far down the list and that one server apparently already has the stuff going!

Just got my peacock last night, it was so laggy, knocked me down to 5fps trying to get to the vendor. There were so many people trying to scramble to the vendor, it actually crashed the outland server. That actually benefited me, because I was among the first to load back in and got it and hearthed before the masses logged back on.

if you type /target Smith it makes it easier to select her. I had problems with my own faction standing on top of her today. Meh. Well, 10% more to go. I should have my parrot of flowery doom by time I do my next 25-man on Thursday :D
