how awesome would it be if they made a build that you can get instant SoD with no cool down!!
The noobs would QQ about it, they'd nerf SoC so it did 500 damage per explosion, and life would go on.
How awesome would it be if we got a 5g Epic Flying mount that was a Blazing Undead Dragon with fiery Eyes! And there was an Affliction Talent that let us cast all our DoTs at once, and a Demo Spell that summoned all 5 Pets at once, and Destruction that killed anything under 20%hp and then feed us a SoulShard.

On a slightly more realistic note... it would be an interesting change to move imp. corruption down the tree a little bit and make it -.4 per point for corruption, -.2 per point for SoC. This would give some nice AoE boost to Affliction while also making other specs have a little more work to get the instant corruption that pretty much everyone picks up.
I must say that I'd like this change when in my 46/5/15 spec... but it would probably **** me off the first time I went to respec something non-dark-pact and had to give something up for my insta-corruption.

unless they change up the tree when they make level 80, you will be able to have dark pact and soul link :-O!
I always thought SoC should be affected by Imp and Emp Corruption but for some reason my guild thinks that SoC on the GCD w/o the chance of pushback is OP. I told them to STFU since we have to AoE **** down in raids all the time.
I have to say that having played multiple AE classes, I think that SoC is very powerful and quite balanced.
The jist of it is, you can spam the hell out of this powerful Targeted AE as long you're not taking hits. Realistically its a few milisecond difference between the Cast Time and the GCD, so the downside is obviously that you just cannot move, or get hit.
For fights like Illhoof obviously this makes it difficult to spam (since your getting hit with dozens of Fireballs), but brings up other options which I believe make the game balanced. Being able to cast SoC while on the move without interuption would be simply ridiculous.
As for Empowered Corruption, I forget how low exactly but the +Spell coefficient for SoC explosion is so bad anyways (16%, 6%? -- something) that you're better off speccing for Crit% if you want to boost Seed numbers.
