atm im level afflic spec 42/7/11. im just doing some BG right now b/c im bored ******** from leveling. Last night i was doing WSG and i was getting my *** spanked my rogues and hunters, just all out spanked. yeah i kno they are anti-warlocks, but this was insane, i just get stunned and i barely had chance to even cast a instant spell. granted i still got top 3 on damage output and i came in half way.
heres my armory link

my question to you is: Did i die so much because i suck or just because its like that? And does an SL/SL build also die as much?

SL/SL spec may help, but when a rogue gets the jump on you, there isn't much you can do, once they stun lock you it's pretty much over if there's noone with you to take them down. Travel in a group with and anti-rogue class watching your back.

For Hunters, again, SL/SL will help, but I find I can take them sometimes. Thier gonna go big red kitty on you though so your fears are useless. What works about half the time is CoWeakness and Siphon Life the pet, insta-DoT the hunter and Drain Life him. Helps to try to stay in Melee range with the Hunter, but with removal of the dead-zone this doesn't work as well as it used to If you have the time, you can throw a CoEx on them but IMO your better off just Drain Lifing them.

I do a lot of BGs... in the smaller ones (WSG, AB), you have to stick with a group. Then, when that rogue pops out, he only 'might' kill you instead of 'definately' killing you... if your friends help you . For hunters, traveling in groups is still good, as they will generally concentrate on the person charging them.

If I get stuck alone with a hunter, I will CoEx them, and try to get to melee range to Howl of Terror them, DoT, Drain Life... but then, it's hard to get to melee range and sometimes you're dead long before you get there. Deathcoil is another option there.

If I get stuck alone with a rogue, I try to cast Howl of Terror (instant for Affliction)... I just spam it. If their stunlock is incomplete, then I may get it off.... but they usually just Cloak of Shadows out of it and return to kill me. ;-)

With both of these classes (along with warriors), I can get pwned, but the only sure fire killer of me is a rogue (even moreso than against my mage).

When you get better gear (read: PvP gear) you have better chance with rogues/hunters/warriors. When you have more stam and resilience you won't go down so fast and you will be able to fear them giving you time to cast dots and drain life etc. Longer fights benefit dotting warlocks more than they do burst dmg classes. Good geared MS warrior with death wish on and BM hunter with red kitty and no chance of LoS will still be next to impossible to beat (atleast for affliction lock). Sl/Sl -build helps you to survive those valuable few extra seconds.

The best way to kill anti-warlock classes is to get someone else to do it for you. Fighting rogues/warriors/hunters 1v1 is usually suicide.
