Kinda threw me off when you said you can do kara/za. ZA is often misunderstood. It's loot has many equilivents to SSC/TK, some cases better. I suppose you could be going in and pot shotting a few bosses, but pretty much what they say for ZA, because it is the timed event.
1-2 chests groups with at least t4 should be getting
3-4 chests T5/T6 groups should be getting.
hex/zj i would say at least full t4 to be downing him. and a good group setup.

The order i put raid content is this. Granted you could not have a full clear on one raid, and be downing the first couple boss's in another.

Grull/Mage
SSC/TK
ZA
Hyjal/BT

While in your raids, what kind of dps do you put out? I feel that in SSC/TK you should at least be putting in 800dps to be doing your part.
Your Spec looks slightly hybrid into pvp/pve. This you can get away with in Kara but as you enter harder content, a sure raid build is very important.
In your current spec you have nothing to help your plus hit. Elemental Precision is a godsend for us mages, and would help with your hit problems greatly. Theory crafters say order of importance. *till capped*
spell hit/spellhaste/spelldmg/spellcrit.
You also might want to think about breaking your arcane crutch and trying out a deeper fire build
10/48/3 a little better with mana or 2/48/11 for that extra oomf.

For your gear you should be thinking of Kara a place to farm badges. I would still run grull/mag for gear. But go ahead and look for a guild starting SSC/TK and see what happens.

And im curious of how Timbal's focusing crystal there is panning out for you. I pass to my spriest/warlock guildy's while were in there. but in off chance i was thinkin of nabbing it for a fire build. Worth it or did they really make a trinket useless for us mages, and OP for other casters heh.
