Just checked out the guide for gear and >.< completly forgot about Wastewalker which would boost me up quite a bit especially with the set bonus.
I just wish there wasn't good equips out there with no hit, like my Primalstrike Bracers.

Now, now, what are you exactly saying here? Is it that specs do not matter, and he can do 1200dps in any spec, or that he would do 1500dps if he specced combat (in Kara gear)?
I frankly doubt both, unless he is a dreanei and can triple-wield a weapon with his tail...
I'm saying that if people can't do DPS, they can't do DPS.
I on the other hand can do DPS, ergo it doesn't matter what spec I am unless I need to min/max for an enrage timer.
Edit: And yes, I do pull 1200 DPS in Kara gear as ShS.

Reason 1: Not all damage can crit.
Reason 2: Unless you have an attack table with only hits & crits on it and you have 0 crit, 1% crit will not increase all crit affected damage by 1%.
Reason 3: Reason 3 is classified.

I'd give him a chance, well before he gave you the attitude and such. I out dps'd my raid the other day on Mag, by about 2% until the tank died and I was above threat of the OT as SHS. If his damage is insufficient then don't take him back next time until he gets better gear/goes combat.

That's just not remotely true. I had 190hit as sub rogue before i started kara, you just need to pick the right gear for your spec and run instances/heroics till you get the drops(wastewalker/assassination gear comes to mind). My requirements for kara were much higher for sub rogues: 175hit, 25% crit, 1650ap. Also required that they use hemo sword/fist/mace, as dagger sub for pve is teribad dam.
A 'good' measuring stick for pve sub rogues is how much agi they have stacked. When my guild 1st started kara i had 750 agi unbuffed, and just before i switched to combat spec(about 5weeks later), i could get over 900 agi fully raid buffed(over 1k when mongoose procced).

I find this post hilarious considering i just posted on our guild website about some rogues having little or no hit rating and trying to go to kara as sub spec.....I dare you to stand behind night bane for melee dps lol...also spent a good deal of time talking about lack of hit rating...
Something else I've noticed...
I've seen a lot of rogues w/ their s1 glad gear trying to run kara....
just because it's shiny/purple...doesn't mean you're "geared" for kara...I see more rogues than not w/ the glad helm/shoulders/gloves etc when they'd be doing more damage in blues from arc,mech, bot, slabs etc...
We also had this one rogue in glad gear w/ fists SHS spec 46 hit rating trying to make his case that he should go instead of me...HA!

Uh, I'm confused as to what you're saying here.
Do you mean that you don't know that "behind" extends to the sides of mobs?
Or do you just think that with daggers you need to be directly behind?
Or do you think you stand in front of Nightbane?

I "accidentally" stood in front of Nightbane on my fury warrior the other night.
If we hadn't had 4 pallies in the raid so I could get BoK as well as Salv, Might, and Light (I was the offtank, hence getting the uber-useless seal) I would have been dead.
