Unfortunately, you have to give up the elemental to get Imp Blink, which really hurts you in PvP. Imp blink was more of the bone thrown to PoM Pyro mages than a serious PvP talent since the strongest PvP build precludes its usage.

That said, you could probably give up the elemental and several point in Imp Frostbolt to get it at minimal loss, but even minimal loss means you're pretty gimped.

That sucks. Should be able to switch it out with imp CS...

No way, Imp Blink is ok I guess but give up my Imp CS for it? NEVER!

Imp Blink gives 25% chance for all attacks to miss for 4 seconds.

Imp CS gives a 50% chance to Silence one school of magic on one target for 4 seconds.

Seems as though the Imp blink would be better, as you have a 25% chance to dodge ALL attacks....from a billion different players...for 4 seconds.

Seems the imp blink would benefit more, and with the set to reduce blink CD by 2s, it would be faster than CS, right? I mean, if someone silences my school of frost, im just going to switch to FB and Scorch....AE etc. It doesn't really stop my offense, it just limits it. Blink would give a 25% chance at a Pally bubble....which I would <3

At most, you've got a 50% chance to miss on the three or four attacks that come your way during a blink in arena. More than likely, a lot less. In BG's its a bit different, but also a lot less important. Anywho, alternatively you could silence a healer for 4 seconds, completely locking them out of any heals or anything else, really, which is plenty of time even for a 2v2 to burst someone down from 20% to zero.

Yeah, I would miss silencing the heals...especially in WSG.

I think I am just jealous of other classes bubble abilities. :(

If you really wanna play with it try this out (or some variation)

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/mage/talents.html?2050500312202100000000005323201232003125310000000000000000000000000

I did this and another mage in my guild did close to it (he went arcane down to AP). We're both rollin 400res, 12k HP, and 900 dmg. All we do is PvP in the guild so no worries about raiding/running. It's alot of fun right now and a good change from ice. I wouldn't use it in anything else besides 5s and BGs though.
