And had a questions. I am running the cookie cutter raid spec basically with a few minor changes if I remember right. This is me: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Alterac+Mountains&n=Ashhail

I switch between that spec and the PVP spec posted on here. My hit is almost maxed which I am working on, but as a MM/SV hunter are there any talents you would more around and why. Also I got the PVP axe just yesterday and am thinking of sticking with my Sonic Spear until I get the legacy from Kara. F-er never drops for me. What do you think. I am going to put savagery on the PVP 2hd but am not sure if that will bene. me more than the sonic with AGI.

Any suggestions on the build I currenly have would be appreciated.

You are not running the cookie cutter raidspecc. Nowhere near cookie cutter. There are two cookie cutter raidspeccs these days, and they are BM/MM and Surv/MM. MM as the maintree is useful only for PvP and nothing else.

Beastmastery Raidbuild
Survival raiding build

Those two are examples of raidbuilds. They can be tweaked a little bit. Imp Revive pet isn't mandatory, nor is Deterrence a mandatory talent. There are a few other non-essential talents around, but they are easily spotted.

As for your MM build, I am not going to bother commenting on it, since I haven't been MM specced since pre-tbc.

Not to make waves or anything since I haven't been on wow for a long time, just came back recently, but in MC we never ran with pets. They die just way to fast. Also in a post here it has 3 cookie-cutter raid specs listed and the topic was posted by Aethien which has never steered me wrong yet. So is there anyone else who would like to comment on my spec who is or does raid as a MM.

One last thing - I out DPS BM raid specs in my guild and we are basically geared the same.

MC is vanilla WoW, there have been a couple changes since then.
And if you outdps BM hunters using the cookie cutter build, they suck.

Sorry was using MC as an example. Guess I will have to give the SV tree a chance because I can't stand BM.
#6REDACTED, Posted: Apr 01 2008 at 5:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i just deleted all my paragraph so ima short it. If guild has a few BM go MM cuz u do great dmg still and you buff raid. 2 get S3 axe. its way better and only 1k points. ok have fun.

You have no where near the gear to pull off survival.

Also you need to regem.. everything... to agi gems

I've been poking around the internet for suggestions, but i couldnt find anything.

I'm looking to do tank Kiggler for the first time and I was wondering how much stamina I need. I have 10K hp unbuffed in what i normally pve in.

Is that enough or should i max out on stamina in my pvp stuff and swap out a dps trinket for the violet badge?

Thanks.

Did anyone else just get a sudden urge to kill Icymist for what he typed?

10k unbuffed is enough, I had ~8-9k unbuffed when I tanked him for the first time. Just make sure you have the standard raid buffs.
The question is how many nature resist you want to have as this guy does a lot of nature damage. But that is a question which depends on how comfortable your healers feels healing you.
Our hunters have tanked Kiggler with ~33 nature resist (druid buff) and up to ~200 nature resist. If a inexperienced or bad equiped healer heals the hunters, use some nature resist. If you have a somewhat decent healer in a lot of epics, you won't need nature resist gear and can go all out on Kigler.

I'll comment on your spec. You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone here raids with a MM spec. Sure, there are a few die-hard marksmen lurking around, but they've almost all been converted.

I played MM from level 56-70, because I was in the pre-BC "only Marksmen hunters can raid" mindset. However, when I finally got Kara attuned, I respecc'ed to BM for my first time in. Even IF you never use Bestial Wrath/The Beast Within, you will do more damage as a BM hunter than a Marksman. This is because the increased attack speed, and buffed up pet.

Boss fights have become MUCH more pet friendly in TBC. There are really only a handful of bosses that will do any damage to your Pet, so you can easily rely on it to contribute to your damage.

There isn't a huge difference in playstyle between BM and MM. You may lose some nifty tricks like Scatter and Silencing Shot, but since neither of those are used in raids, you shouldn't miss them.

And finally... If you're out DPSing BM hunters, THEY are doing something wrong. Go ahead, ask around and find out how many people here have their own "I out DPS'ed a MM hunter who had WAY better gear than me" stories. I have one! The other reliable hunter in my guild has several pieces of gear from T5 content. I don't have anything past T4, and I WELL out DPS her. She always has the highest Top-end damage, but overall, my DPS is way above hers.
