I just got them to go with my Shallow Grave Trousers, but I wonder if they are worth breaking my 2 piece t4 bonus.

Armory in signature, if you want to see the big picture.

I am inclined to say no, but try putting the gear in a spreadsheet and see what the values come up with...

No. The two T4 set bonus is 30 MAEP, T4 gloves have 79 MAEP and Trickster 93, so you're losing 16 MAEP (if you're keeping the right combat cycle).

AEP is supposed to be used as a base to compare pieces of gear. To actually determine if it's an upgrade for you, you'll actually have to get a dps spreadsheet.

Um...why in gods name would you ever break the T4 Set bonus while at that gear level?

Once you get another piece of T4 then sure switch out, but the 2 piece T4 bonus is ******* amazing.

You're right, and I always use it. But when I dunno the exact equipment I prefer MAEP. I usually get the same results, in this case by breaking the two T4 bonus changing from T4 gloves to Stickyfingers I loose 2.4 dps, which conidering talents and buffs is very near to 16 MAEP.

Don't use either equivalences. Static numbers are always inferior to going to a spreadsheet, plugging in your gear, and getting *exactly* what the ratios are for each stat. AEP and MAEP are decent base points, but both are inferior to spreadsheets (and both give stat weightings to stamina, which in my mind makes both inherently flawed). Since all stats feed off each other, and AEP and MAEP can't account for this, get a spreadsheet (and in addition, I'd go through the last 10 or so pages of each page on ElitistJerks for whichever spreadsheet you use, so that you can take note of any oddities in the spreadsheet that are being mentioned).

I was wondering the same thing when looking at switching out some gear with respect to the two piece set bonus. The spreadsheet gives a large dps value to the set bonus, but if the overall dps to stay with the bonus only amounts to a small value according to the spreadsheet, I question whether my personal playing efficiency/ combo point rotation can match what the spreadsheet is calculating.

I'd like to think I can play with the efficiency of a computer spreadsheet, but if I am not spending the combo points precisely, is the bonus really as valuable as the spreadsheet makes it out to be?

It makes the single most important and single best ability Rogues have even better. Not only that but with the new badge rewards there are better things to spend the points on like the Fist Weapons.

Edit: As for the problem of user error. It isn't some mini upgrade, its noticeable and it is absolutely worth it.
