If prot is so terrible at pvp why don't I ever lose? Iv done one on one with almost every class and I never lose. Am I alone?

Well, it's hard to tell, level 70 prot spec versus any class level one, and the paladin will win.

But that's over-exaggeration, I understand beating rogues, warriors, other paladins, shamans. But I don't know how you can beat frost mages, or any warlock without outgearing them or outleveling.

Cause your Prot paladin is lvl 55, in slightly better than average gear for the level. Talk about your experience at end game or go home. Hell I could smoke toons 5-6 levels ahead of me at lvl 50, locks included. Lvl 70 not so much.

1v1 is not PvP. Level 55 (if you're sig is up to date) is still a great time for the Paladin, though not as much as 20-39. I remember leveling and I lost "God-Mode" at about 40-45, but it started coming back around 50-55.

If you meant actual PvP, you win because you were with a good team. One person is not going to win PvP for anyone.
