I'm currently using the 1:1.5 macro below:

/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/castsequence reset=3/target !auto shot, steady shot
/castrandom arcane shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] kill command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1

If I want to add a line in there to automatically pop my trinket, so I do so in the /castrandom line?

/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/castsequence reset=3/target !auto shot, steady shot
/castrandom arcane shot, bladfist's breath
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] kill command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1

or just have a seperate /cast for it?

/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/cast Bladefist's Breath
/castsequence reset=3/target !auto shot, steady shot
/castrandom arcane shot
/cast [exists,target=pettarget] kill command
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1

also... what's the =3 for in the cast sequence?

resets after not pushing the button for 3 seconds.

And I guess that /castrandom or /cast would do it.
I would guess at /cast to trigger it faster, but thats with the risk of having the "item is not ready yet" spam.

Well first off, if you were to add the trinket in on it's own line, you would need a /castrandom to start it off as it has a 2 min CD. I don't want to say putting it on it's own /castrandom line or on the already existing line is the right way to go as I don't know and am at work so I can't go play around with it. I'd recommend that you try both out and see if they work.

As for the reset=3, that is basically a timer that resets the castsequence after 3 seconds of not hitting the macro. For more information on castsequence macros, I recomend reading this page at TKA Something about macros, I found it to be pretty informative. Good luck and hope this helps.
