It has probably been answered before, but a quick search could not locate an answer to my query.

The Relentless [???] Diamond looks like the best for my feral cat DPS set. It needs 2 yellow, 2 blue and 2 red gems.

Does this mean I need 6 gems in total, or does a green gem count as BOTH a yellow AND a blue for the purposes of meeting the requirements?

Thanks in advance

Green counts as Yellow and Blue, Purple counts as Blue and Red, and Orange counts as Yellow and Red. So you can fill this requirement with 2 greens and 2 reds, for example. Or more likely if you're a cat, 2 Purples and 2 oranges.

I can confirm that a 'mixed' gem counts as BOTH of it's 'component' colors for met gem requirements.

I already had tons of red gems in my belt and chest pieces, plus one yelow gem in my Helm of the Claw.

Thus, for the Rel. Earth. Dmnd., I needed one more yellow and two blues to meet the metgem requirements.

On Sunday I got some nice boots from Moroes (Edgewalker?) that have a yellow and a red slot.

I took a lowish level green gem out of the Guild Bank and a lowish level purple gem as well. Put the green in the yellow slot on the boots and the purple in the red slot (thus getting the socket bonus on the boots).

I could then mount the diamond in my helm. The green gem therefore counted as BOTH a yellow AND a blue gem.
