gear for magisters terraceFollow

Haven't had a chance to check out the new 5 man, but from what people are saying you need to be essentially fully epic'd in at least kara epics to do just the normal 5 man, just was wondering if people could confirm that, or tell me what armor to have.

As it stands I've pretty much got all the pre kara gear that I need/want to meet most of the standards. Don't see myself raiding kara with current guild since I'm a fairly casual player and hope to maybe be carried along in a badge run once or twice.

Anyways, I would like to work on rep with the shattered sun offensive since from what i've heard there is some decent armor available, so any help on gear for mag. would be appreciated

I have full Kara epics, and the group that I ran it with has full Kara gear with some T5-level gear mixed in. We breezed through most of it, but wiped on Kael a few times because our healer was a Pally, and Pally healers aren't very good for that encounter.

If it really requires full Kara epics, then the gear really needs to be rethought. The epics that Kael drop are nice, but all the blues are worthless to Kara-geared people.

I'd say that a Kara-ready group could probably go in and be challenged, but they'd get the job done with the right group makeup- ie: any tank, Druid or Priest healer, and 3 CC/DPS (rouge, hunter, mage is a nice combo)

i went in with 3 s1 and rares and most of the group were either herioc/kara geared and we had no problems other than the kael fight where people thought it would be funny to leave the bird and try run inside the bubbles -.-

I ran the heroic, and the most important thing is a balanced party. There's a few details.

Pally healers -> unless you're overgeared, this is not actually a good idea. no instants, no hots, no group heals, all of which really help with this place. Best healer would be a priest, with a druid close behind. However, it can be done with a pally healer, just make sure they're awesome.

mage - mages really help with the second boss due to ice block, and overall due to their awesome CC. Really, I don't think you could bring too many mages to this place.

I did it with a pally tank and honestly it was fantastic, but he died on kael. Which is fine because we were at the levitate stage.

I wouldn't want to do this instance with dps that were under 800. If you can't easily sustain 800 dps, I would suggest you don't go on heroic, unless your group is absolutely fantastic. between the AOE phase of the second boss, the healing of the third boss, and the fact that you don't want more then one bird oe pyro on kael, dps is important. Good luck.

normal? I found it pretty easy really, no T5 in that group. It's on par with Shattered halls imo. The bosses are slightly harder.

A great tank and a party full of people who know what they are doing is essential to clear this place. Balance is also a necessity, and good reliable CC is needed to clear the third boss (for those who know the fight it's basically an easier version of High King in Gruuls). Other than that you should be good to go.

I've only cleared it one time and we had Pally tank, priest healer, mage, full T4+ geared Hunter (myself) and a warrior DPS. We had a very tough time on the third boss and basically two manned Kael because we fought him once and had bad luck in the beginning but had a good healer and mage to finish him off, but i'll chalk that up to only having 2 CC's and only one person being Kara ready or above.

Thx for all the input, I'll have to give it a run sometime this week when I get the last of my gear enchanted.
