Im leveling an alt Warrior who is Blacksmithing and Engineering and Im at the point to pick Armor/Weaponsmith.
I know there is a huge sticky on the pros and cons but all the info seems kind of out of date. The way the game is today and how easily you can get Arena stuff etc which is more viable?
Seems like the PVP weapons are better then the weaponsmith ones and not sure how the Breastplate of kings fares now. I plan to jump around from tanking and fury so Im gonna try to get a set for both. What would you guys recommend???

sadly, its probably easier to get an s1 weapon than it is to make one of the bs weapons. the benefit of BS as you level it comes from the new BoP blue weapons you can make for yourself in the 40's, but thats a very narrow range of benefit, and if you can stomach the (now much easier) honor grind to get the weapon, then do so; itll pay off.
the corollary to this is that, come the expansion pack, chances are smithing will be updated with a new set of high-end BoP gear, likely including top-of-the-line weapons and armor.

Which you'll work really hard for and finally achieve the day before they bring out easier to get, more powerful PvP weapons.
Personally though, I'd still go for the BS weapons. Not least because Stormherald and the Lionheart Executioner look a million times better than their PvP counterparts.
yeah i know what you guys mean. Well my main is a Miner so Leveling it is no problem and I am benefiting from having all the BS gear at each level while im leveling up.
