First off, I started a Rogue at the whim of my son. He plays a Rogue, and plays him well, as far as I can see. So, after much debate, he finally convinced me to give it a whirl.
Now, my son ( who is a adult ) has a 70, decked out in some very nice gear, both PvP and PvE, as well as having what I would describe as a "frantic" playstyle.
I, on the other hand, have a very methodical approach.
Anyways, the Rogue class was slightly confusing to me at first. So many options, abilities, specs. Finally, I decided to follow in my sons footsteps, and go Hemo/Shadowstep.
After reaching a level that most of my abilities and damage is decent, I found myself really enjoying the Rogue class.
I know, by many, myself included at one time, Rogues are considered "cheap", but what a fun experience!
There is nothing quite like that thrill, or adrenaline surge, you get when you plan your attack, and it works flawlessly.
For example, I am currently addicted to BGs with my 59 Rogue, its so damn much fun, laying in wait for some unsuspecting flag carrier to waltz on by, then WHACK, here I come, out of the blue, stunning, poisoning, and generally thrashing the crap out of them. Or, stealthily stealing the Farm in AB, when the Horde has just claimed it ( giveaway, yes, I play Alliance ).
I do not anticipate that this thrill will last forever, I have other characters whom are 70, and some of the thrill of the class fades with time, but, damn, what a good time this Rogue has provided me! Its almost like I have renewed interest in WoW.
Thanks for anyone who might peruse this, I know its a tad gushy, but I have really enjoyed the Rogue class, and its many variables.
