Numbers to look for:Follow

Hi folks,

I've been lurking this here fine place, and depended greatly on all the information contained in the posts and talent builds when I started playing, which was about three months ago.

Now that I hit 70 and am playing around with builds (currently combat-hemo), I'm wondering what are some of the numbers I need to be hitting. Specifically:

For PvE, how much:

To hit
AP

For PvP, how much:

To hit
AP

PvP: 79 hit
AP: depends on build

PvE: 363 hit
AP: depends gear level

BTW, your current build is awful for DPS.

If you're maces, you should be using this, but ideally you'd get swords and go with this.

Straight up combat is going to be better, though.

Not to bring back a post from the dead, but...

I really like the 4 Deadliness combat-hemo build that was suggested, and it's what I've been rolling with. I'm intrigued at the Swords build suggested above. Problem is, those S1 maces are my best weapons. If I were to respec to combat hemo swords (and it does seem that 4 Sword Spec > 8% AP, especially considering my gear), I'd be looking at rolling with the SSO swords until I could farm:

a) Which MH and OH from instances other than S1 swords? (there's too much Vindicator stuff I still need to get, and there's only so many BGs I can take for my own sanity within a given amount of time). Is Blinkstrike a waste of a few days gold farming?

b) I appreciate that I am running a sub-optimal DPS spec by not going 19/42/0, and am glad I was given a mace spec to work with, is there a ballpark % increase in DPS gain I would get from getting equivalent S1 swords and respeccing?

c) (totally unrelated) I've had two Storms cards drop, and because others were wicked cheap at the AH on my server, I now have a full deck. I know my crit sucks, and I've read that the Wrath deck is more useful to someone, like me, whose crit is in the toilet). Thoughts?

And as always, any gear/build comments and criticisms are most welcome. I know you hate, because you care.
