I need someone to takeover / rewrite the faqFollow

Because I have decided to quit and walk away from the game, which also includes me not caring about or researching the classes anymore.

It was a fun run, but I've found that I far prefer the early stages of MMO's (ie. leveling up / learning / exploration) than end-game time sinks. And for whatever reason, the game just wasn't fun for me anymore so I have moved on.

Good luck everyone and I hope one day Shamans rise to power once again, maybe I'll be back in a year or so, maybe not.

Awww, you will be missed para. Your seat will alway be here in the shaman community.

I nominate gaudion for the FAQ.

The FAQ could stay as it is, and people could simply have a communal responsibility of updating on the FAQ's thread with important shaman information.

Or, if that's a bit too communist/idealist for ye, it's quite obvious that Gaudion is the highest contender for the spot.

I wouldn't suggest "rewriting" the FAQ anytime soon, but additions are of course going to happen.

That sucks bro you are a kool dude, but hey man wanna get out of this game go for it, run as fast as you can and never ever look back, and then you will be safe and they wont be able to get you...

I think the faq is decent as is, but we will need a new one eventually, I am sure someone will take over eventually, but I don't wanna go and nominate anyone either.

I am sure Gaudion could make a great faq, but Gaudion has this attitude about him... He can be unnecessarily mean at time, which is him, but I don't want to ever read a faq filled with any negative comments like that, and I honestly don't know if he could resist from putting them in there. Anyhow I highly doubt Gaudion would want to write a faq anyhow.

Anyhow good luck Paracleets, hope you can find something new you can have fun with.

Is that really a good idea?

1) He doesn't exactly have the best track record with FAQs
2) You want people to actually want to play the class, right?

I liked his paladin FAQ...I think it was his. The snide, snarky one that got stickied, and then unstickied a couple days later? It was awesome, and gave me a really good idea of what I was doing on my pally.

Of course...I tend to like snide and snarky.

And I don't mind competent people playing the class...a FAQ that scares away the morons and idiots would be a good thing, as far as I'm concerned. Granted, there seem to be fewer of those who play shaman, probably because there are fewer shamans, and because we haven't been the flavor of the month PvP class in quite a while.

Oh I hear ya Vaeliorin - I liked Gaudions pally FAQ (and the ensuing brouhaha) and I like filterspawns.

But I just couldn't resist making the comments.

Well enough. For some reason I thought you were being serious. No idea what's going on with my head (I blame all the sunlight...it can't possibly be healthy.)

Yeah, I like Filterspawn's FAQ too. Can't get enough snark. :)

I couldn't write the whole thing, but I could contribute. I like to think I'm Restoration savvy, so I'll chip in if someone could take something from my insight.

I can't promise anything inside of two weeks, but I'm going on vacation April 12th (a vacation in a different state at a friend's house, meaning no computer and no WoW), so we'll have to see. Maybe if I can get her stuck playing Disgaea 2 for a while and wrest her computer from her I'll try to draw a rough outline together and then send it to Raglu, Draenei, Axhilt and some others for input.

I will in no way presume to be more knowledgeable than others here, but I am willing to be "the one that does the typing and editing" of the faq - with the collective support and input of the shammy forums.

Cheers

PS: Yes I know others are more likely - just trying to show my support and love of the shammys - please don't flame me for it =)

One of you guys will have to improve on my ASCII art totem.

Cause it just doesn't look right, now I think about it. Maybe convince a purple to pop in a real pic of a Totem.
