I just started a pally alt and was wondering till which level will it be possible to have a prot/holly hybrid spec and still be a viable tank or healer with a bit of gear changing?
You can do that pretty much until Outlands, then you gotta choose one or the other .
Just a side note to this always try to keep a healing set around if you raid because you maybe asked to off heal for some of the fights if you are not the main tank.

on same note i know my guild has like 4-6 kara teams i think some disbanded and joined someof the new ones so really probaly only like 3-4 i think but anyways i'm low man atm on gear for tanking so 25's on gruuls i'm asked to sit out since you dont need all the tanks we use on HK. so haveing off set you can eather A. toss it on or B go respec and toss it on. or maybe even have a ret spec if cant find dps.
one thing you shouldnt do wich i've done a few times now and kicking my self in the butt DON'T DE YOUR OFF SETS FOR FUNDS. Keep them around. i dont even remember why i de'ed mine. at lvl 68 i think i was i had about 600 healing and 33 mp5 while casting wich i didnt think was that bad but now i'm back to picking what i can in groups for off set.
Thanks for the replies guys! Truthfully though, I like my main too much, so my tiny little pally will probably never see 70 for years. Oh well.
