When WotLK comes out (planning ahead)Follow

Hey everyone, sorry for the bunch of words i'm about to miszpel.

Anyway im a 70 resto druid and i was wondering when WotLK comes out, what am i going to do with all that resto gear? i couldnt level up 60-70 resto, can i do it 70-80? or should i put all my gear in bank, get some cheap feral gear from AH and lvl up feral till ... lets say 77ish, and then go resto again?

It's starting to hit me now all those thousands of kills i got in BGs, Kara, ZA ect. just to get my resto gear... and in November-ish it'll be all replaced with either feral or new healing gear then. Maybe WotLK items will have a pretty good boost on stats just like outland gear had over regular WoW gear, but still i think all my gear will b thrown away :(. I can't even DE'em because it's pvp gear.

if anything level boomkin starting with your resto gear. The spell damage you get will still be a decent basis to start from and you can grab balance gear as you level. You'll have the added benifit of still being a decent healer for 5-mans on the way to 80, since with gear balance isn't a bad spec to heal with.

Feral probably isn't the way to go since you'd need to build an entire new set of gear to make it work properly. At least with balance the gear you currently have is still somewhat transferable and you'll be able to get by until you get some quest rewards to make a real balance set.

Mind you, with the expansion still some time off, just pick up some feral stuff through your regular play. Being feral, I have still picked up decent healing & balance gear, just from unwanted drops.
