So I've been leveling my warrior alt over my spring break and having a lot of fun. Just hit 30, got my WW axe and have have been slamming peoples' faces off and generally having a grand old time.
Anyway, I've been trying to find a good, reliable swing timer to time my slams. I have Quartz and have tried it (and have been using it since I don't have a good alternative). The problem with Quartz's swing timer is that I don't like the look of it, and for some reason it doesn't actually start timing until after my first slam (if I never slam, it never appears even though I'm swinging away).
I like Attack Bar Timer from what I've seen in videos (the only other swing timer I've found on the whole wide interwebs) but it doesn't seem to want to work for me (perhaps a 2.4 issue). The weird thing is if I use a throwing weapon that timer works, but no matter what settings I toggle (and yes, melee timers are on), it doesn't work for melee swinging.
Does anyone have any recommendations for other swing timers? Or, better yet, and updated version of Attack Bar Timer? I've been scouring the internets to no avail.

I use Quartz aswell, and I have the same problems. It doesen't always show after I've gotten a hit or two, and yes, I dislike the looks of it.

This sounds like a problem that many face, I also use quartz but don't like the way it looks. If anyone has any suggestions for a new one, it would be much appreciated.

I've tried every addon i could find that does any melee performance related increases. Abar is a decent one (if and when it's updated). But quartz just has better features.
Having GCD next to swing timer helps me with MS/Slam rotations. Less key pressing, more pew pew.

I have the same issues and really dislike quartz. I also notcied sometimes it will stop like 3/4 of the way across and i swing like instantly im so confused with it sometimes but when it does work its fine.
I hope we can find another one soon. Maybe an addon creator will hear our crys and come to our rescue

If you parry an attack your next swing will be faster, but the amount that it's faster is semi-random. No swing bar mod compensates for this.
I'm a fan of Quartz; the look of the bar is quite customizable (I made mine quite tall) and it actually works properly, both rather large bonuses.
