I've decided that mut still isn't good.

I even popped my old s1 helm on to see what 20% snare resist was like, and honestly I felt like I was half a rogue without Prep and ShS.

Thoughts/feelings from those of you that have played mut in high end PvP?

High end pvp huh?

Like the 1600s?

Just kidding. I'm a hippocrit for saying that.

But honestly, after playing ShS I can't stand to be without my instagib teleport or double evasion vanish and whatnot. I've grown too attached to sublety, it's true.

And now after doing more BGs, I have another thought:

Cheat Death seems to have been nerfed. A lot.

Is Enveloping Shadows (20/0/41 or 27/0/34) the future of arena PvP?

I'm going to see how bad the Cheat Death nerf really is in arena before I draw any huge conclusions, but it appears to be fairly large. People are reporting getting hit by mobs for 111 in CD when they normally get hit for a max of 200.

Cheat death nerfed? I don't see any mention of it in the patch notes other than it now has an animation and it will be noted in the combat log. Also is that a typo? 111 < 200 Thus I'm still confused.

It's not a 90% reduction of damage.

They were fixing the bug of it sometimes proccing at 99% damage reduction, but I think they might have fixed it a little too well.

I seriously doubt it.

I seriously doubt it.

It's already a top build, just with Cheat Death instead of Enveloping Shadows.

It'd be worth it to resist Frost Nova ~35% of the time (though it really wouldn't be that often, it'd be less because Enveloping Shadows and root resist don't stack).

Edit: Loz has been using it in the second half of the season, though with 2 points taken out of Lethality and put in Imp Expose.

I can't see what it has over Deep lolstep apart from +20% healing. Even with the obnoxiously large chance to resist AoE snares and roots and the runspeed increase is it really better than ShS for mobility? I guess my main concern is losing Sinister Calling, ShS and Cheat Death.

If this becomes the next HARP then I'll eat my words, but I doubt it'll be the next big thing.

BTW, Loz is 0/0/0 atm.

I know Loz is 0/0/0 ATM, but he's well-known on BG9 for speccing this build.

I honestly need to do more arena and BGs with Cheat Death to see how bad it's gotten.

Happyminty had a brief part in his latest video (Nerf Sap 10) in the commentary version talking about Loz.

Though Loz is pretty much an EA ***** for Xahlior on his 3s.

1. I waited on switching from Muti and am psyched that it has the extra damage. Ran Kara last night but ReCount hadn't updated yet so we had no dmg meter but I'm sure it was higher. Almost nothing is poison or bleed immune anymore, which is sweet.

2. What does the Overlord mean? I'm not familiar with the mod/admin tags here.

****** ridiculous, OVERLORD theo??

we should ptr and see how overlord you are! 2v2 rogue/rogue! ^_^ j/k

im still running my normal shadowstep gambit, **** yall who disagree... but muti seems like it SHOULD be strong now, since it effectively should make 3 cp what.. 90% of the time, in s3 level gear no crit gems? beats the **** out anything else's cp gen

plus the badge 102 dps daggers? i see it at least being a potent 1850 rushing build, it still bursts like a madman

Unless like me you seem to come up against full S2 teams in the 1300s. I seriously need to get me a new partner... I was in the 1600s when I had my druid healbot, ******* decided to quit wow :(

Overlord isn't an admin tag. All the admins have purple names and a red A beneath their avatar.

As I've clearly got neither, it's just a title. Though I do rule this forum with an iron fist.

My 3's is in the 1700's Theo, but we'll probably be up into the 18's after this week, but I'll let ya know how we fare.

im not aware of any changes to the mechanics of cheat death; i still have to wait 3s after it procs to kill a rogue, at least the ones ive fought (a good dozen since patch day). however, they did add a huge level of anti-nubness too it, as when it procs a giant skull appears over the rogues head, and when it ends said skull shatters.

its a cool effect, but i can REALLY do without the neon signs telling me stuff i already know. good for the unobservant crowd i suppose.

It got bugfixed. It can no longer double proc leading to 99% damage reduction.
