thinking of switching from combat swordsFollow

#1 Mar 25 2008 at 12:36 PM Rating: Decent
I'm currently combat swords 19-42-0. no pvp for me just raiding (although I have and will pvp for welfare epics)

I love the dmg...but it is getting a little boring spamming SS then rupture etc...

My toon is Odang on Darkspear if you wanna look...

Anyways...I've raided w/ a few other rogues who are hemo maces and it seems kind of appealing to me. When I checked out Demeas build guide I didn't find a whole lot about it besides the build itself (like attack cycle etc) I was wondering if some hemo rogues can tell me a little bit about how the spec works and if they like it. I understand it doesn't do as much damage.

I'd even consider switching to combat fists just for the fun of new weapons (including the new badge loot fists :) ) .

Any insight or constructive advice is MUCH appreciated...

also possibly interested in mutalate spec w/ the new buff ...

Thanks in advance..

Mutilate may compare with combat for damage in 2.4, but nothing with hemo will compare.

If I had been thinking of switching from Combat Swords I'm not anymore, now I get to farm Heroic Magister's Terrace for that sexy OH sword.

Have anyone tried Mutilate DPS in PvE? No PvP please, I only want to know PvE how much DPS is improved compared to combat sword, feel like to do a change and give it a try.

It should be http://rogue.raidcal.com/

I just hope that people tried it in experience can share how they feel. ;) Theory may not always apply.

I've tried using that multiple times (the link) but it never adds up right, or doesn't have the equipment that I have.

When the programmers decide to pull their heads out of their a$$es, and update Recount, or SWStats, or anything else, I'll let you know. From what I did last night, it is leaps and bounds better than it was, and I didn't even have a feral druid. You can pretty much keep a 3s/4r or 4s/4r rotation.

Using Heartrazor MH, and Fang of Vashj OH, buffed stats of 2300 AP, 32% crit, 245 hit rating, my muti's were critting around 90% of the time, and I couldn't count how many double crits I had. Double crits were between 2.6 and 3.3k.

I'm not a huge fan of this new combat log either. It was causing a lot of latency, and reduced fps for several of my guildies.

Thanks for sharing Salwrathis, I still headache to get a good offhand to try out the difference. :( S2 offhand doesn't seem to be very good choice..
