Besides the nice Xbow, what other items are other hunters here considering from the new badge items? 2-hand axe looks good, as well as that one ring.
Also, would the new Xbow be a better hunter weapon than the Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix ?

Nope, the best non legendary ranged in the game wont be better then sunfury /rolleyes.
Furthermore there will be legs, gloves, a chest and the ring from badges.
If you want to get everything you'll have to dish out 635 badges so good luck :P
And most likely, for anyone not doing SSC/TK+ all pieces will be an upgrade.

Going to be saving for Legs and Chest first thing. Then I will look into what else I may need.

I think those are the correct links. The crossbow is nice, but not that huge over Sunfury. Legs and chest are the biggest upgrades for me at the present.

Actually the crossbow is hugely better then sunfury. For me that's the first upgrade followed by the legs. The other two mail items are only slight upgrades for me.

Any thoughts about the new 2H axe for a hunter - The Blade of Harbingers ?
For a BM hunter with a 2.8 weapon it is quite a nice upgrade due to the haste. Problem is you are going to lose a LOT of stam from the S3, which might be a bad thing. Depending on the fight, I'd probably swap it in and out. It makes the new crossbow with a 1:1 rotation pretty much Godly.
Damnit, I overlooked this. That's another 150 freaking badges.
Thinking about this, the weapon gets "worse" the closer you are to 55 haste with 2.8 speed weapon as BM. So if you're getting haste from other items, it's not as big an upgrade. Be careful because you don't want to speed the weapon up too much, or you start losing dps. You'll then have to get a new ranged weapon that's slower.

According to Cheeky's and factoring in my latency, the Crossbow of Relentless Strikes sans the new 2h axe is a decent DPS upgrade running the 3:2, but if I get the axe I'll have to do 1:1 (if the spreadsheet is right, see below) and the increase is modest at best.
But it also says running 1:1 with Don Santos is slightly more DPS than running 3:2, and I'm a bit skeptical of that outcome based on comments here and at tkasomething.com. So it would be best for me (or anyone else in a similar situation, i.e. latency of 100-200ms) to run tests on Dr. Boom with the new xbow before picking up the 2h axe to see if you'll benefit from that haste. I will, but only marginally, meaning I'll stick with S3 for awhile and put those 150 badges in other items.
Having said all that, I'm looking to get the xbow, pants, chest (hoping to get a Magister's Terrace chest until I can afford the badge version) or ring... and once I get those I'll reevaluate my needs. I was dreading trying to gather 600+ badges for all the loot 2.4 offers hunters. It is all really good stuff. Then I seen a couple of the new craftable items. The chest and the gloves, both are awesome and better than black temple loot. Chest will be easier to get since the pattern is BOE and doesnt require any sunmotes (though it will still be insanely expensive to craft). Gloves are gonna be tougher to get since the pattern is BOP and requires 6 sunmotes to craft, though the item is boe. Still will be quite costly.
Getting either will allow spending badges on other items, but probably getting tons of badges may still be faster than the mats for these items.
