I've picked up tailoring and am working toward getting the mats for my Spellfire set.
Basic Question is:
Is there an easy(ish) way to farm elementals of the same spec as you?
I am frost right now, but want to spec fire so I can equip my duds one piece at a time as soon as they are made, but I know that a fire spell = squat against a fire elemental.
Should I just stay frost until I have all the Primal Fires I need, and then switch over to fire? Or is there an easier way I'm too blind to see. (other than the ah)

I'd stay frost until then. Your other option is to take and farm another mote (probably air, maybe water) and sell the primals, then use the gold from that to buy primal fires.
Sort of how my enchanter friend has a large amount of large prismatics, and I (an herbalist) have a large amount of primal life, so we trade those between each other (not 1:1, of course) so we can both get healer enchants.

Mining fel iron ore can yield motes of fire. Otherwise, you can still farm the primal fires as a fire specced mage, it's just painfull to do so.
